00:00 We bring you another exclusive conversation here at the sidelines of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit.
00:05 This time we're talking to Mr. Balkrishna Goenka, who is the chairman of the Wellspun World Group.
00:09 Sir, many many thanks for talking to us.
00:11 Firstly, I want to begin with the MOUs and the investment commitments
00:15 that we've heard throughout the course of the three days
00:17 and how Wellspun is also part of this vision.
00:20 So, I mean, we have also had a huge expansion plan
00:23 and we are entering into a new energy, particularly in green hydrogen, green ammonia
00:28 and we are expanding our existing textile capacities.
00:31 We are also expanding our plastic, what we have just recently acquired, a brand called Syntex.
00:38 We are also doing the expansion in that particular thing in Gujarat.
00:41 So overall, I think around 42,000 crore plus in the next five years,
00:45 we are going to invest in various activities, what we are in, existingly, the group is in.
00:50 Sir, I want to also bring to focus a new MOU signed in Jammu and Kashmir with respect to plastic,
00:55 something you'd also said on the stage, that this has been a new priority,
00:58 green ammonia, green hydrogen, textiles and plastics.
01:01 These were the sectors you highlighted there.
01:03 Can you give a little details on this new front at Jammu and Kashmir?
01:07 So, I mean, Jammu and Kashmir, as you heard from the LG, Mr. Manoj Sinha,
01:13 that how the whole state is being changing.
01:16 And I think the way it is becoming investor-friendly,
01:19 the way the whole industrial policy of J&K is there
01:23 and it's becoming definitely the integral part of the country now.
01:27 And we are very excited to do the first investment also in that state
01:32 within our group called Syntex, as I said, for the plastics.
01:37 And we are going to invest around 500 crore plus there.
01:39 That's great. And before I leave, your experience at the Vibrant Gujarat Summit,
01:44 as we wrap up, what would you want to talk about trends, in fact,
01:48 looking forward and your experience as a whole?
01:50 First of all, I mean, Vibrant Gujarat is making India vibrant.
01:54 You can see in the last three years the whole enthusiasm and the whole vibration.
01:59 And I think the new trend, as you said, as you asked,
02:02 I think the new energy, the fab, the semiconductors,
02:07 the whole focus is on the futuristic thing,
02:11 whether it is battery, whether it is EVs, whether it is, you heard about Suzuki.
02:15 I think all in all, all the futuristic thing is going to be,
02:20 you know, again, Gujarat is going to lead in next coming five to seven years.
02:24 Thank you.
02:26 Thank you.
