00:00 This is welcome. It's overdue.
00:03 Labour's been leading the calls in Parliament
00:06 since the autumn for the government to make a commitment to
00:10 funding military aid to Ukraine for next year. The money runs out
00:14 in a matter of weeks. So this is important. It gives the Ukrainians the
00:19 reassurance that Britain remains united
00:22 and will remain supporting their fight
00:25 against the Russian invasion for the long term until they win.
00:29 But it's important also that they understand that the UK is united
00:34 and certainly if there is a change of government
00:37 during 2024 there will be no change in the British
00:40 determination to stand with Ukraine,
00:43 to confront Russian aggression and to pursue Putin for his war crimes.
