00:00 Earlier today, we responded to Palisades Tahoe for the report of an avalanche.
00:08 As we arrived on scene, our Tahoe Nordic search and rescue team responded also, but at that
00:14 point in time, Palisades had a large amount of rescue individuals up on the mountain.
00:19 At this point in time, from the Sheriff's office, we are able to confirm that one male
00:24 has passed away as a result of the avalanche.
00:28 We are not releasing any other information about that individual at this time, so that
00:33 our coroner's office can conclude their investigation and make all proper notifications.
00:37 There was also another individual that sustained minor, non-life-threatening injuries as a
00:44 result of the avalanche.
00:45 At this point in time, all search efforts have concluded, and we have come to the conclusion
00:50 that there is nobody else up on the mountain as a result of the avalanche.
00:55 I'm lucky that the bus was late because I would have been in that avalanche.
01:01 So I saw it when I was going up the chair, and then as I came around, anybody that was
01:08 off the chair, we just all got asked to help and start probing and start trying to just
01:15 find people.
01:17 The last, like, attempt, we didn't find anything, and so they finally released us, and then
01:23 they just fed us, and I'm just waiting for my ride to get here.
01:27 But it's been quite a traumatic morning.
