00:12 We adopted her as a puppy
00:14 and so we didn't really have much backstory
00:16 other than she came from Georgia.
00:19 If I recall correctly, she was Dre that they found
00:21 and was transported to Sable Life Pet Rescue.
00:24 She's very intuitive and very in tune with emotions.
00:27 If I'm feeling down or I'm feeling sad,
00:30 she can tell and she'll come over and put her head on me.
00:32 The eye contact that she makes with people,
00:35 she definitely understands cause and effect
00:38 and she gets it.
00:39 She has the eyes of a human trapped in a dog's body
00:42 and that is how I feel.
00:43 I feel like she just totally understands the dynamic
00:46 of what's going on around her.
00:48 I've really never, ever had to yell at her, ever.
00:51 If she does something that was wrong
00:53 and you were like, "Kona," she seems so sad about that.
00:57 She's always been really into people,

01:01 with Mako being the exception,
01:03 that when we fostered him,
01:05 they immediately had this connection
01:07 and we knew that Mako was here to stay for sure.
01:10 I am her favorite person in the house.
01:12 She definitely respects my husband more,
01:15 but as far as coming for cuddles, she loves me more.
01:18 Although maybe I'm just kind of projecting
01:20 what I hope is true.
01:21 She might love us equally.
01:22 My bond with her, I think will probably far exceed a bond
01:25 that I'll probably ever be able to have with another animal.

01:49 so a lot of times her lip will get stuck on her teeth

01:54 and that's always funny to look at.
