00:29 We have managed a very beautiful mean score of 9.865.
00:35 That puts us, in fact, at position 6 nationally.
00:40 [applause]
00:45 It wasn't a mean feat.
00:48 Very much importantly, we want to thank the almighty God
00:51 for giving us this success, this big victory today.
00:56 We want to thank him even for seeing our students,
00:59 the 2023 class, all through the four years they were in this school.
01:03 And finally, we have these big results that have, of course,
01:08 enabled us to even beat the traditional giants
01:12 we've been battling with in KCSE all these years.
01:15 [applause]
01:17 We want to thank our parents.
01:19 You can see they are here in very big numbers.
01:21 They've been supportive of our ventures,
01:24 our efforts all through up to this day today
01:27 when we are celebrating.
01:29 I want to thank the students, particularly the 2023 class.
01:33 I want to thank my colleagues, the teachers here, support staff,
01:37 every other member of this family, Chemelele Sugar Academy,
01:41 for all the effort they put in helping us achieve these great results.
01:45 I studied at Chemelele Sugar Academy.
01:48 I achieved the A of 83 points.
01:52 I achieved that by self-discipline, waking up early,
01:56 sometimes working around the clock,
01:58 listening to my teachers, their advice,
02:00 because experience is the best teacher,
02:03 and they have lots of experience, so you must listen to them.
02:06 I would like to thank my teachers, my parents,
02:09 for their loving support and the care they give,
02:12 for the adequate facilities, and for everything.
02:16 I achieved an A of 82 points,
02:18 and I achieved this by hard-working, being disciplined,
02:23 listening to your teachers.
02:25 So my great gratitude goes to my teachers,
02:29 who did their best to make sure that we achieved this grade,
02:33 and also to my parents and my guardians back at home,
02:38 and to our fellow students also,
02:41 who make sure that we work together to achieve the best results.
02:47 I would love to be a neurosurgeon in the future.
02:51 I'm glad to inform you that our school had a candidature of 210 students,
02:58 and our standard mean score is at 5.8,
03:03 which is an improvement index of 0.5 over what was there last year.
03:12 We have a total of 47 students, making it directly to university.
03:20 And our highest score, our highest grade is a B+,
03:27 of which we have three students.
03:31 We expect to better that outcome next year.
03:35 We are just holding meetings with our departments
03:40 to try and look at the results that have just come out,
03:44 so that we are able to lay strategies for next year.
