00:00 Hi, I'm Dominic from the Burnley Express and this morning I've got the very difficult job
00:12 of trying some new craft ales and lagers here at Pat's Bar in St James's Row.
00:18 Hey, how are you?
00:19 Yeah, you all good?
00:20 Yeah, really good, thank you.
00:21 Really good, I'm happy to be here.
00:22 Well, I'm feeling a bit thirsty this morning so I think I'll try, how about a hazy pale
00:36 moorhouses?
00:37 Hazy pale?
00:38 That's a good Burnley brewery.
00:39 Wow, that's my personal favourite.
00:40 Maybe a Hell's Lager Northern Whisper, be the Rosindale lad, that's a Rosindale brewery.
00:41 Might finish up with the old straw dog.
00:42 Very fine choice, I'll have one of those.
00:53 Thank you very much, that's a hazy pale.
01:04 First taste of the hazy pale.
01:11 This one's called Curse Away by Moorhouses, it's a 4.8% alcohol by volume, the glasses
01:17 are pale pale and it's nice, it's quite sweet, a bit fruity, a bit tangy but not too sour
01:24 which sometimes leaves a complete heart in the mouth.
01:31 A bit like the German Pilsner, crisp and dry but obviously not as strong.
01:55 Yeah, very nice, obviously not gassy, again only 4.2% so it's only a session so you can
02:16 have a few of those while doing a quiz with a packet of Port Scratchings and then you
02:31 have a really good night.
02:32 (upbeat music)
