00:00 We started wanting to do something completely different that Town doesn't have.
00:05 We only operate on a private hire and exclusive event basis.
00:10 If you want to do your birthday party, engagement, gender reveal, a works do, we'll happily look
00:16 at doing something like that for you.
00:17 Town is not that great as a nightlife economy, so to have a venue that's doing well is, I
00:26 think, quite an achievement.
00:28 We don't tend to focus that much as to what's happening in Town.
00:31 All of our events, people will come to us, it's closed door, they enjoy themselves with
00:35 their colleagues, their friends, family, and then they're free to go into Town and move
00:41 on.
00:42 The diary has filled up a lot more than what I anticipated it would do.
00:44 We looked originally at getting one or two events in a month just to keep the venue ticking
00:48 over and we're now pretty much every weekend, Friday, Saturday, it's doing well.
00:54 It could be a possibility for it, but it would be difficult to do the business that we have
00:59 to keep that exclusive private-ness, the special-ness when it's open to the public.
01:04 You open to the public, you've got a whole lot of unknown variables, how many people
01:07 are coming, how many staff you need, security costs, which make it a challenge for venues
01:13 that do open to the public because they just don't know who's coming out, if people are
01:16 going to come out at all.
01:17 You've got a big event coming up in September, the Posh Reunion.
01:20 That's right, yeah.
01:21 I believe that sold out.
01:22 Yeah, it was really interesting, Posh.
01:27 We toyed with the idea with Mick Cookson not long after we opened last year, and those
01:33 of you who have dealt with Mick will know that the conversation can get forgotten about
01:38 quite easily and then it picks up randomly in the street.
01:41 So we decided just to see how it went.
01:44 We floated some artwork out there and there was a very, very big demand for it.
01:50 We set it as an over-30s night, just so it was for Posh era, and when we announced the
01:55 event the following week, it sold out within two days.
01:58 That's something that I don't ever recall having this huge amount of popularity with
02:02 it for Burnley, for demand.
02:05 It's good, we're looking forward to that.
02:07 There's a lot of people who don't hit town anymore because of various reasons.
02:12 They just don't like how town's changed over the years, and they're very much looking forward
02:16 to catching up with old friends, the iconic old drinks, bring a lot of them cocktails
02:21 back and certainly the music.
02:22 So we've got the old DJs from Posh as well.
