Jordan Love has the Packers in the postseason and the future looks bright in Green Bay.
Transcript
00:00 Jordan Love has let it green bait to the postseason.
00:04 So, Robin, did the Packers make the right decision
00:06 of coming off of Aaron Rodgers?
00:08 - Absolutely.
00:09 I mean, how could you argue otherwise right now?
00:11 You look at Aaron Rodgers is making headlines
00:13 for what he's saying about Jimmy Kimmel,
00:15 not what he's doing on the football field for the Jets
00:17 after tearing his Achilles.
00:19 Meanwhile, Jordan Love had one of the better rookie seasons
00:21 or first year seasons, I should say,
00:24 that we've seen from a quarterback
00:25 with only Kurt Warner and Patrick Mahomes
00:28 matching the numbers that he put up
00:30 in his inaugural campaign.
00:32 He's gotten more confident as the season went along.
00:35 You know, he makes some off-platform throws
00:37 that are really impressive.
00:39 And obviously he's on a more team-friendly contract.
00:42 I'd be a little concerned if I'm a Cowboys fan,
00:46 the way the Packers and Love are rolling right now.
00:49 - Yeah, first of all,
00:51 I can't believe I'm agreeing with you twice,
00:52 but yes, I think they made the right decision.
00:54 Just I'll just say that at some point,
00:56 you were gonna have to see what was next.
00:57 Like Rodgers was never gonna play forever
00:59 and Love was gonna be the future at some point.
01:02 And you had to see, is he worth what we expect him to be?
01:06 And he is, he's led them to the post-season.
01:08 I think they're in a great spot
01:09 where the expectations are low
01:11 to where if they fail, nobody's like, you know,
01:15 throwing a fit.
01:15 It's just like, oh, okay,
01:16 well like the future still seems to be bright.
01:19 So for Green Bay, well done.
01:21 - Yeah, I mean, they exceeded expectations.
01:23 They're young.
01:24 And I'm not going to say he's a Hall of Famer yet.
01:27 Obviously, but how lucky are Packers fans
01:30 to go from Brett Favre to Aaron Rodgers
01:33 and to now Jordan Love, who is at least very good.
