00:00 All right, questions for Ben.
00:02 That it seems like you guys had more energy and made some more
00:07 effort plays from the jump today. What was the difference?
00:10 I mean, I think it's just coming off the tough loss that we had
00:14 at Wisconsin. We weren't doing that. We were a little bit slow.
00:17 We weren't getting the 50/50 balls. We're just steps on
00:20 pretty much every play.
00:21 So we address that and really hammered that in and practice
00:24 and watch film and obviously, you know, took to heart what we
00:28 needed to adjust to and I thought we did a great job
00:31 coming out today playing with fire playing connected and
00:34 together. It's really really good.
00:36 He was a little upset with with how we, you know, gave up a
00:43 bit of a run towards the end. They hit a couple threes back
00:45 to back and we messed up, you know, one of our plays down
00:48 the stretch. So just kind of addressing that and saying that
00:53 if we have a lead, we got to push it. Can't give up any
00:55 ground. What is it?
00:56 What is it like to see when Peyton gets hot like he did?
00:59 Just what is it like to watch a guy, you know, go through a
01:02 stretch like that?
01:03 Yeah, I mean obviously hit five threes today. That was huge
01:06 for us and it just brings a different level when he's on.
01:10 I mean, you know, I can do my work in inside kind of in the
01:13 mid post and stuff and he's obviously a threat from outside.
01:16 Tony was super aggressive today.
01:18 So I know when obviously was really good too.
01:22 So just having multiple threats on the floor. It just helps
01:26 the game and you know, it's hard to guard if a team has to
01:30 guard four or five guys who are playing well and being a threat
01:34 at all time. It's tough.
01:35 It wasn't too long ago when we were asking about you and Owen,
01:39 like can you guys keep up with the bigs of the Big Ten?
01:42 How nice does it feel to get your points and your rebounds
01:45 against a guy like Cliff who only made one shot the entire
01:48 game?
01:48 Yeah, I think we did a great job and credit to the coaches.
01:51 I mean, we had a really good plan on him coming in. Just
01:54 doing our work early trying to try to get around him because
01:56 he's very aggressive, you know, sealing and posting up.
01:59 So try to emphasize getting around him and sending doubles
02:03 his way and thought we did a good job early with that and
02:06 took him out.
02:07 With Owen, talking about the energy first of all, I mean, I
02:11 think he had four and ones today, screaming a little bit
02:14 out there on the court.
02:15 What does that do for you guys in terms of that energy mid-game?
02:19 Yeah, I mean when he's gone and he's excited, it's easy for
02:22 the team to get going too and he did a great job just finishing
02:26 strong and not playing like a freshman.
02:29 I've been saying that all year.
02:30 He's just, you know, past his years, I guess.
02:32 He's really, really good and good to see him be aggressive
02:36 and catch and finish and then obviously affect the game
02:38 defensively too.
02:39 All right.
02:43 Thanks guys.
02:43 Thanks, David.
