00:00 Well, we've had a stormy go of things
00:02 here across the West and well, hey,
00:04 we're talking about our next round here.
00:06 Rain and snow to spread here across
00:08 the West Coast as we head throughout
00:10 the weekend travel disruptions.
00:12 You can expect those folks just make sure.
00:14 Of course you're taking it easy on the road.
00:17 We're already starting to see some
00:19 rain move into the Pacific Northwest,
00:20 so hey, some of those roads may be slick.
00:23 It is going to be turning colder.
00:25 We have this dip in the jet stream
00:27 that's increasing that instability
00:28 in the atmosphere.
00:29 I kind of want to show you how this is
00:32 going to play out because as we take
00:34 this into the early morning Pacific time,
00:36 we're starting to see that rain spread
00:38 a little bit further South even
00:39 down through Northern California.
00:40 But we are watching that snow
00:42 closer towards the foothills.
00:43 And yes, we're going to get a nice
00:45 thump there of snow as we head
00:46 throughout the afternoon and well,
00:48 that snow is going to spread right
00:49 into the Intermountain West.
00:50 Meanwhile, we are still dealing
00:52 with isolated showers there right
00:53 across the immediate coast.
00:54 But then as we had an early Sunday,
00:56 well, we're still talking about
00:57 snow and we had skates,
00:58 but then here's our next round of
01:00 rain and snow as we do head into
01:02 the beginning of next week.
01:03 How much snow are we talking
01:05 about here through Sunday?
01:06 Well, 6 to 10 there in Snoqualmie
01:07 White Pass about 4 to 8.
01:09 Government camp though.
01:10 Hey, we could see upwards over a foot
01:12 of snow and even in Santiam Pass.
01:15 Well, 24 inches and will limit
01:17 past 12 to 18 inches.
01:18 So hey, still pretty impressive.
01:20 We are down to pass level with our snow total,
01:22 so of course if you are traveling
01:24 in and around the passes,
01:25 take it easily on the roads.
01:27 But I know those resorts are happy to see.
01:29 Some fresh powder there on the ground.
01:31 That's no potential,
01:32 though we are talking about our next storm.
01:34 It's going to be rolling through
01:35 Monday into early Wednesday.
01:36 We are talking about some difficult
01:38 travel here through the Cascades
01:39 into the northern Rockies and
01:40 blowing snow is going to be a big,
01:43 big concern as well as reduce visibility
01:45 as we head into the beginning up next week.
