00:00 Good morning everyone, Matt Strife and Ray White at Balbury and Holbrook here on day
00:04 five at the NVLX weaner sales.
00:07 I'm here today with Ray White.
00:09 We had our sale this morning, a very successful sale with about 450 head yarded.
00:15 Very strong market with cattle going to as far north as Queensland and further into the
00:21 south so it's supported very well locally.
00:24 A very good quality of yarding of whack cattle here today that we yarded.
00:29 A big congratulations to the vendors for entrusting us with those cattle and I think it was a
00:35 very successful day for vendors and purchasers.
00:39 The quality of the cattle was very good, a couple of big lines of cattle, one from the
00:43 Wern family at Holbrook.
00:44 Had a beautiful run of steers there today with plenty of weight.
00:49 Steers going to feedlots for the top end and to back rounds also.
00:54 In the steer department 280 to 330 kilo steers made up to $0.353 per kilo and 330 to 400
01:04 kilo steer up to $0.328 a kilo.
01:07 So a lot of those steers today sort of $1,100 to $1,200, $1,250 a head.
01:13 On the heifer market, also very strong, probably not as much weight in our heifers here today
01:17 but a very sought after article.
01:20 Heifers 280 to 330 kilo up to $0.294 a kilo and our 330 to 400 kilo heifers made up to
01:28 $0.272 a kilo.
01:29 So your heifer range sort of $720 to $50 up to sort of $900 per head.
01:36 But all in all a really successful day to finish up the winter sales here at NBX.
01:40 Thank you.
