Busselton sky turns into a dance floor for enchantingly rare Aurora Australis

For those who think the celestial ballet of auroras is exclusive to the northern skies, the Southern Hemisphere holds its own ethereal spectacle - the Aurora Australis.

"Often overshadowed by its northern counterpart, the Northern Lights, the Southern Lights are a rare and mesmerizing phenomenon," the filmer, Paul Pichugin, shared with WooGlobe. "The ideal conditions for viewing the Aurora Australis are during periods of increased solar activity, clear skies, and minimal light pollution. However, even with these conditions met, its appearance remains elusive along the southern coast of Western Australia, making any sighting an unforgettable experience."

Paul also revealed that this video is a compilation of several aurora time-lapses over several nights throughout December (2023). There are over 3,000 photographs in this video put together.
