00:20 Yeah, G'day, it's Jesse Brown here from Hayshare Bridgerton
00:23 just reporting on the annual Birrigara Weanasale we've just concluded.
00:26 We had 33 odd hundred cattle here today with a pretty good run throughout.
00:30 Quite a number of annual drafts and feature lines of cattle coming forward.
00:35 With a bit of rain in the area in recent times, putting a bit of local confidence in
00:40 and quite a bit of northern interest too that we haven't seen here at Colac before
00:44 with cattle travelling into northern New South Wales and Queensland.
00:47 Best prices today, we had top penestiers made $1340 an hour on behalf of Mark and Leah Jacobs
00:54 out of Dreyheight and they were a well renowned pen of cattle that do that generally year in year out here.
01:01 In terms of a general run of cattle, our black steers with a bit of weight over that 360 kilos
01:07 were that $2.85 to $3.95 touching three bucks in places.
01:11 And as you got down in the weights, your 330 to 360 kilo cattle were more that $2.80 to $3.05.
01:18 Keep coming down to 300 to 330s, your 290 to 320.
01:23 And then once you got into those little lighter steers, those third and fourth draft steers,
01:27 they were selling very well with some of those steers touching 360 and 70 across the board.
01:31 Into the colours, a few Herefords, a pretty good run of Herefords actually.
01:35 Best of them $2.75 or $2.80 for the steers with a bit of weight and then your lighter steers with $2.85
01:40 down to, no, they had the sort of three bucks.
01:42 Euro steers sold very well, they were probably one of the highlights of the sale
01:46 was the run out of both Charolais and Simmontown Cross calves.
01:48 They were sort of at $3.05 for the lead of them and down to $2.85 or $2.90 I should say for the second drafts.
01:56 And then into the Herefords, the better Herefords to go back to the bull,
01:59 there was one exceptional sale that I can't remember off the top of my head what they made,
02:03 but they were off Wilgania Angus off the stud.
02:06 They went back to be joined and quite a number of Herefords going back to be joined,
02:10 making that $2.70 or $2.80, touching $2.85 in places.
02:14 And then your colors and secondary sort of black Herefords, a lot of them were $2.20 through to say $50.
02:20 So all in all we've had a pretty good day here at Colour. Thank you.
