Transcript
00:00 We are here in Pasadena, California outside of the Rose Bowl gearing up for
00:04 number one Michigan to take on number four Alabama in the college football
00:07 playoff semifinal game with a trip to Houston for the national championship on
00:11 the line. Now Michigan enters this game with kind of a chip on their shoulder
00:15 after losing back-to-back semifinal games. This is their third straight
00:18 college football playoff semifinal appearance. The Wolverines are 13-0 this
00:23 season despite their head coach Jim Harbaugh missing six games this season
00:26 after serving two separate suspensions. Now they take on an Alabama Crimson
00:30 Tide team that got off to a slow start early this season losing to Texas but
00:34 found themselves in the playoff after a convincing win over Georgia in the SEC
00:38 championship game. While Alabama's offense has significantly improved this
00:43 season and credit to quarterback Jalen Milrow, they should be tested by
00:46 Michigan's defense who ranks number one in the country. And for quarterback JJ
00:50 McCarthy and the Wolverines receiving group they should be tested by Alabama's
00:54 talented secondary. Michigan is one and a half point favorites over Alabama
00:58 heading into this game but we'll see if the Wolverines can make it to their
01:01 first national championship since 1997.
