00:00 Camera's running. Hi I'm Mike Critchley in the Gosport Tourist Information Office
00:05 with my colleague Ashley and we're here to say that the Gosport Tourist Office
00:13 is to continue for another six months or so. We're very excited about that because
00:18 we do see a need for local people and tourists coming to our town to point
00:24 them in the right direction. We have a lot of attractions here for people to
00:27 see and we're pleased to announce that here we are in the bus station pointing
00:33 people in the right direction and also selling naval books. I'm an ex-naval
00:37 author and that's what we do to pay our bills. Thanks Mike. So how does it
00:43 feel to be sure of another six months of business here? We didn't expect to be
00:49 here that's for sure. Our lease expired on the 23rd of December. The council I have
00:54 to say have been very generous towards us. Yes we are paying our way and we will do
01:01 our best for the next six months. Okay how important is it for Gosport to have
01:05 this facility? It's actually incredibly important. I'm absolutely surprised at
01:11 the number of visitors we get here, often for the submarine museum explosions,
01:15 places like that, but here we are in midwinter with tourists still walking
01:21 through our door. Wonderful. Thank you both for speaking to the news. Thank you.
