00:00 Sorry, do you mind if my movies just slip into something a little bit more comfortable?
00:04 Here's your look at custom 4K and Blu-ray slipcovers by the artist, The Mockbuster.
00:17 Now I'm going to tell you what led to this box arriving to my doorstep.
00:20 And of course, before I reveal the contents inside, backtracking just a little bit, I
00:24 was over on Etsy where I always seem to be as of late, picking up some Christmas, last
00:28 minute Christmas gifts.
00:29 And sure enough, I came across a seller that was selling custom slipcovers for physical
00:34 media.
00:35 Well, I know speaking for myself as being a big physical media collector, there were
00:38 some movies unfortunately sorely lacking some slipcovers on my shelves.
00:43 One so one happened to be the one I ended up purchasing.
00:46 And then from there, found out he had an Instagram.
00:48 I followed him over there as well.
00:51 And then found out again, he was making custom slipcovers for other movies as well.
00:54 Well again, I went down the proverbial rabbit hole and I've got myself five slipcovers.
00:58 And I'll show you guys the ones I did end up picking up.

01:07 But more importantly, more importantly, as I'm rolling my fingers here, you can also

01:15 Now what again led to this was the fact that I was over on Etsy.
01:18 He was happened to be selling the one slipcover I just happened to take gander of.
01:22 And that's for the Slumber Party Masker 1, Slumber Party Masker 2, 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray
01:27 release from the folks over at Scream Factory.
01:29 A nice release as a double dual set.
01:32 Unfortunately though again, what was lacking was a really neat looking slipcovers.
01:35 Because I really am one that likes to have slipcovers on the shelves.
01:39 So much to the point where I've actually in fact gone back and bought a physical media
01:42 title again, because the one I initially bought say on Amazon for example, was missing its
01:47 slipcover.
01:48 I know I do have a problem.
01:49 So what I didn't end up ordering, I'm just going to see if I can grab the first.
01:52 So again, I did get five of these.
01:55 The one that I initially did find over on his store was the Slumber Party Masker 1,
01:59 Slumber Party Masker 2, 4K HD, again matching the case I did have originally.
02:04 So I did order this one and then again from there I got myself another four.
02:07 We're going to go through these individually, but first I did want to show you the one,
02:10 the initial one that I did get.
02:12 A really nice representation.
02:14 Just to show you guys side to side what they look like.
02:16 I mean, it's essentially a same copy.
02:18 It's just been obviously digitally enhanced.
02:21 It has in fact the same special features there on the back.
02:24 So if you have the original case, it's going to be exactly the same and it's made of really
02:28 the same card stock that you would expect now to see with all the other slip case sleeves
02:33 that are on your shelves currently.
02:35 So again, like looking at the two, I mean this looks like something you would initially
02:38 have bought with the movie itself.
02:40 But again, unfortunately when I did buy the movie, it did not have its slipcover.
02:44 Oh, does that ever look much nicer?
02:46 On the side you can see it says Slumber Party Masker and Slumber Party Masker 2.
02:49 It says Scream Factory down below here.
02:51 Three disc set.
02:52 Something again you would expect for a slip sleeve to have.
02:56 Just again, made by a talented artist.
02:58 So that's what we started with.
03:00 And then from there, I'm probably going to be going back to this guy a couple more times.
03:04 By the way, again, all this talk of me talking about these custom slipcovers.
03:08 If you guys are interested, I think what he's selling for these are about $13 a piece or
03:11 about $15 here for me in Canada.
03:15 You know, it's again, it's a little higher, but I mean for those that are dedicated physical
03:18 media collectors like myself, I don't mind again spending a little bit extra if it means
03:22 I got myself a nice little slip sleeve.
03:24 So we're going to put that to the side.
03:25 I also want to show you guys the other ones I did also pick up as well.
03:28 I got another total of four here.
03:31 The other one I did get here was Sinister, starring of course Ethan Hawke, Juliet Rilis
03:36 I think, and James Ransom.
03:39 Just pulling this one out again.
03:41 And what I'll also do too with this one specifically, just going to pull this out.
03:44 I so happen to have, of course, all the movies that have something to do with, of course,
03:49 the ones that I didn't end up picking.
03:50 Here's the Sinister 2 slipcover.
03:53 Here's the one that we got actually from Mockbuster.
03:55 So again, looking at it on the shelf, I mean, I guess I should really put them in proper
04:00 order.
04:01 I mean, if I was to look at this on the shelf, I would never really know that this was a
04:04 custom cover.
04:05 And just again, to pull out the sleeve.
04:09 The thicknesses of the sleeve, this one's just a little bit thinner, but again, like
04:12 looking at the two, the quality of the cardstock is about the same.
04:17 Let's go ahead and put this back onto Sinister 2.
04:20 Do you ever have tough times getting slip cases or slipcovers over top of your movies?
04:26 I'm sure I can't be the only one.
04:28 So that's Sinister 2.
04:29 Here's what the original Sinister would have looked like.
04:31 And here again is the new slipcover I got here.
04:34 So again, we're just going to slide that over top.
04:40 I would certainly encourage again, you guys, follow him over on Instagram.
04:44 Every so often he'll post new images of the pieces that he's currently working on.
04:48 And again, you can always reach out to him, I'm sure, and probably ask him if there's
04:51 a specific slipcover you'd like to get, for example, that he could make.
04:54 I think again, they're about $13 to $15, depending on where you are.
04:57 So that's Sinister 1, Sinister 2.
05:00 I also did get myself here, The Conjuring 2.
05:04 Now the problem I had with The Conjuring was the fact that I had all the other Conjuring
05:07 films.
05:08 So I'm going to bring in here, Conjuring 2 or Conjuring 3.
05:11 And here's the original Conjuring.
05:13 Both of them again, have slip sleeves, slip covers.
05:16 The one unfortunately I didn't have though, was Conjuring 2.
05:18 And I was so tempted in fact, to kind of go over on eBay.
05:21 And I thought to myself, well, I already have Conjuring 2.
05:24 Do I really need to spend the money again to buy the exact same movie?
05:27 Well, again, I don't have to.
05:28 Now I've got myself a custom one here by Mockbuster.
05:32 As you can see, they were all carefully packaged inside of their individual baggies.
05:36 And if I was to show you guys what it looks like on the back, it's a little bit different
05:40 of course, but the readups seems to be the same between the two.
05:44 Special features look like they're also as well the same.
05:47 But again, just to look at them, I'm going to slide this one in so you guys can see.
05:52 Here's The Conjuring 2.
05:53 So now I would have Conjuring 3, Conjuring 2 and Conjuring 1.
05:58 Looking at these, would you ever be able to point out which exactly, which one was the
06:02 custom slip cover?
06:03 You probably couldn't.
06:04 So I now have all those.
06:06 And another one I did get.
06:08 And he was actually, he threw in one of them, which was a complete surprise to me.
06:12 The other one he, I did actually pick up was Lights Out.
06:15 And the only reason why, I know Lights Out isn't really a great movie, but it's one of
06:19 those again, movies where I have a lot of the newer ones.
06:21 Here's the original case for Lights Out.
06:23 I have really all like the new movies and usually I'll pick them up at brick and mortar
06:27 stores.
06:28 Like I picked up most of them, I think from Walmart.
06:30 It just happened to be the case that I picked up Lights Out over on Amazon.
06:33 And sometimes Amazon can be tricky because they might very well send you one that already
06:36 has the slip cover, or they might send you like in this case for Lights Out, one that
06:40 just is the case itself.
06:42 So to show you the two, I would imagine this would probably be the original poster.
06:46 It says Blu-ray, DVD and digital HD ultraviolet.
06:51 There's what it looks like from the side.
06:52 And just to flip this around from the back so you guys can see.
06:55 Yeah, it's a little bit different.
06:57 You can see like special features.
06:59 It says deleted scenes.
07:00 This one would have been special features, deleted scenes.
07:02 Down below says PG-13.
07:03 And again, like everything is really well made here for the actual slips.
07:08 So we're going to go ahead and slide that one over top.
07:11 Oh, I got to say that makes the movie so much nicer.
07:16 There's the spine on the one side.
07:18 There's the spine on the other side.
07:20 And then the one he actually ended up surprising me with, and it was really nice the fact that
07:24 he would actually even thrown this one in.
07:26 He also sent me Witch Board.
07:28 Now anybody who follows me on this channel probably already knows that Witch Board is
07:32 my all time favorite horror movie.
07:35 And somehow I'm sure along the lines, I probably had mentioned maybe I had Witch Board, but
07:39 I never had the original slip cover for it.
07:41 And this is the original one.
07:42 Not the original one because I would have had it on VHS and after that I would have
07:45 had it on DVD, but this is the Blu-ray release of Witch Board.
07:48 And really cool of him, he actually sent me over the slip cover for it.
07:52 So that's what it looks like from the side.
07:54 Malvator on the top.
07:56 Tony Katana on the back.
07:58 You know, again, it's a little bit different, but you know, again, you can always just slide
08:01 this back out, the special features look to be the same.
08:04 TV spots, still gallery, and much more.
08:07 We're going to go and slide that back over top.
08:10 And that boy, I got to say, like, I would love now to probably get myself a slip cover
08:14 for Witch Board 2.
08:17 And yeah, that looks nice.
08:19 Look at that.
08:20 Look at that from the side.
08:21 Again, it's really well adhered.
08:23 So I mean, and the thickness of the cardstock and the print job on this looks fantastic.
08:29 You know, again, really big thank you, first of all, to Mockbuster.
08:32 He sent this one over to me, but like all the other ones, really nice job on all of
08:37 these.
08:38 Again, like look at these.
08:39 I mean, obviously some of these, like this one here and Conjuring 1 and 3 were the original
08:43 ones I would have had.
08:44 But just to have these on the shelf, would you really be able to look at any of these
08:48 and suspect that some of them are custom slips over the others?
08:51 Probably not.
08:52 If you guys are interested and would like to get custom slip covers, again, they're
08:56 going to be about $13 to $15 a piece.
08:59 I would certainly encourage you guys, obviously, first of all, to follow the Mockbuster over

09:23 kind of has now gotten a little out of hand and I'm sure I'm probably going to be reaching
09:26 out to him a couple more times to see if I can get some custom slip covers.
