Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton's clock management was called into question with the use of their timeouts that helped lead to the New England Patriots' game-winning field goal.

00:00 Coach, what changed offensively in the fourth quarter that was working and it seemed like you had confidence and wanted to get the ball back to try to score?
00:07 Well, we certainly did. I mean, look, the advantage we had towards the end were the timeouts.
00:13 And so, you know, we got zero blitzed a few times.
00:19 They got us a third down. We had to clearly we had to punt it.
00:23 And then, you know, we still had the ability to stop the clock.
00:28 I mean, we felt like we'd get the stop. We weren't able to.
00:32 And then then all of a sudden the script flipped. And that's one of those seven or eight things I was discussing.
00:38 So, you know, disappointing finish. Credit them.
00:43 They made the plays they needed to. And we weren't able to.
00:47 On the three and out at the end, obviously, when you go minus three on first down, does your thought process change at all?
00:54 Well, we're not throwing caution into the wind, but there's still you're still looking for.
01:01 We kind of had some momentum throwing the ball and we were given Russ time protection wise.
01:07 So we were going to be smart, but. You know, we weren't going to be careless with it, let's just say that.
01:15 I should say that.
