Angel Comedy hosted a bunch of comedians, actors an other celebrities as local communities donated food and money to the Hackney Food Bank and the Trussell Trust.

00:31 So what we're doing here today is a food drive that not only stretches throughout the day
00:37 but also into the evening. There's a gig in the evening as well.
00:40 So we're raising money and there's a food drop.
00:43 So people came, like last year was the first time we did it, with Aisling.
00:47 And Aisling came to us last year and said, "Oh, would you like to do this food drive
00:51 that I do for Hackney Food Bank and the Trussell Trust?"
00:53 And we said yes. And then last year, 1.3 metric tonnes of food were donated.

01:04 I actually like to use the word a shit-tonne of food, but that's the technical term.
01:10 But I... and this year... so we've got that to reach.
01:14 I'm quite... I'm quite positive we might exceed that.
01:19 We've also raised just under ยฃ3,000 and we have already this year raised ยฃ26,000
01:27 and counting for the Hackney Food Bank and the Trussell Trust.
01:31 We are here today for a little... we have a food bank. We're giving to charity.
01:35 We have loads of people here coming in with donations.
01:38 They're coming in with food, accessories.
01:41 And basically we're going to have a grand and Christmassy time.
01:44 And then tonight there's a show on.
01:47 It's a lovely event because celebrities mingle with people that are just coming down
01:52 and celebrities kind of attract people to come in here.
01:56 And then they can donate... people donate food, donate kind of money as well.
02:02 So it's kind of like... it's a really lovely event to be part of.
02:06 Well, you know, no one is more famous than Santa Claus.
02:10 But it's good that they're all coming out, you know.
02:12 They're using their fame to help people give to people who really need it in Christmas
02:18 because Christmas is the best time of year and it should be nice for everybody.
02:24 And the bells were ringing out for Christmas Day.
