00:02 Monday the 15th of January is Blue Monday,
00:08 apparently the most depressing time of the year.
00:11 And as the famous saying goes,
00:13 laughter is the best medicine.
00:15 And the city of London has one of the biggest comedy scenes.
00:19 The world famous comedy store is always a good idea,
00:27 but there are plenty of other great comedy nights
00:30 here in the capital, and some for a fraction of the cost.
00:34 To beat the January blues,
00:35 I'm heading to the Soho Comedy Factory.
00:38 This night runs on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Sundays,
00:43 and draws sellout crowds with tickets available
00:45 from just five pounds.
00:47 The night is in the heart of Soho
00:53 at the Blue Post Pub in Berwick Street,
00:55 one of the only independent pubs in Soho.
00:58 Typically, audience members get to see five acts
01:01 doing a mixture of their best stuff
01:03 and new material as well.
01:04 - But I thought it was really cool, right?
01:08 'Cause I got to sit at the front of the lorry
01:10 with the driver.
01:12 Like, none of the other parcels were allowed to do that.
01:15 You know, my dad would message me,
01:17 he was like, "What time are you getting here?"
01:18 I was like, "Anytime between eight and six."
01:20 Don't worry, if you don't know, I'll wait in the shed.
01:25 - Soho Comedy Factory have acts that have performed
01:27 live at the Apollo and on Comedy Central.
01:30 Previous comedians that have been on the night
01:32 include Mo Gilligan, Larry Dean, and Harriet Kemsley.
01:36 There are also other top comedy nights around London too,
01:43 such as Angel Comedy, Top Secret Comedy,
01:46 and West End Comedy Club, to name a few.
01:49 Tickets for the Soho Comedy Factory
01:51 are available on platforms like Design My Night,
01:54 head to Londonworld.com for more on this
01:57 and other fun things to do in the capital
01:59 to get over those January blues.
