00:00 Do you have any New Year's resolutions?
00:03 Right, I struggle with this one every year because I always put way too much pressure on it.
00:07 My birthday's on New Year's Day, the 1st of January.
00:10 And I'm going to try and stop smoking.
00:13 Stop smoking.
00:14 That's my goal.
00:15 I think my New Year's resolution is to stop thinking about the past.
00:22 And the future's a theory.
00:24 Allow life for the moment I'm on, enjoy the actual moment I'm on, you know.
00:29 And stop fretting about things.
00:31 This year is just like, take it easy and start introducing small things.
00:37 Like, don't want to go to the gym more, just a lot of typical ones.
00:40 But also do more stuff for myself, like more art.
00:43 And actually sit and paint on something that's not to do with the business.
00:46 Something that's just for me and it's something I enjoy.
00:49 Are you going to go cold turkey?
00:51 I'm going to go cold turkey.
00:53 Good for you.
00:54 I've stopped watching the news because in the past, you used to have something happy at the end of the news.
00:59 They don't even do that now.
01:00 It's all good grief, you know what I mean?
01:02 I don't know how these newscasters keep a straight face because they're reading off a monitor.
01:06 And it's all horrible stuff.
01:08 And that's it siphoned down a bit for the public.
01:11 That's terrible.
01:12 Really, it's awful stuff.
01:13 Have more baths.
01:14 Horrible baths.
01:15 I want to have more horrible baths.
01:17 I feel like that's a really good way to like, reset.
01:20 Part of the problem is a lot of people are obsessed with getting more money, but it doesn't make them any happier.
01:27 I try and set little tasks or resolutions for myself every month.
01:32 And I feel like if I'm going to, I'm the kind of person, like if I want to do something, then I just kind of, then I'll just do it.
01:39 I'm going to try.
01:40 I tried before and I survived for a month without, and then I worked in a place where everyone smoked.
01:45 But now I'm working alone again, so I'm no temptation.
01:49 So that's my goal for this year.
01:51 And I feel for families that have to support children, worrying about their job, because I'm self-employed as an artist,
01:58 and I'm getting my state pension, and I'm okay.
02:02 You know, and that's, I mean, some people, homeless folk, when I was a young person, I never even saw people lying in the street homeless.
02:09 Never saw that.
02:10 How long have you been smoking?
02:12 Over 45 years.
02:17 Really?
02:18 Longer than you were born.
02:20 Good luck to you anyway.
02:24 Thank you.
02:25 Having resolutions for like a new year, like going to the gym more or being outside more,
02:31 if I want to do those things, I should just like do them right now.
02:34 So it's a bit scary. In some ways it's almost like Victorian times again, you know, and it shouldn't be.
02:41 Definitely should not be.
02:42 So I used to set myself resolutions, and then I never stuck to them.
02:45 By the end of the year, I'd be really, yeah.
02:47 - Yeah.
