00:00 Currently, there's an anonymity around any identification of those two defendants.
00:07 And the judge is going to weigh up the welfare of the children,
00:12 will weigh up their privacy,
00:15 but also will weigh up the principle,
00:18 which is usually the principle of open justice.
00:21 So that means looking at the public interest,
00:23 looking at the interests of justice,
00:26 and carry out a balancing exercise on whether this is a case
00:30 where the identity of those two children should be published.
00:36 It would be rare.
00:38 It's a discretion of the judge that there is an imposition of anonymity for children.
00:44 So that's people who are under 18 years old.
00:48 It happens automatically in the youth court,
00:50 but it's discretionary in the Crown Court.
