00:00 A blessed Christmas to you and to all of your family on this glorious day when Jesus Christ,
00:09 the Son of God, is among us in the flesh, Emmanuel, God with us.
00:15 Why does Jesus choose to come to us as a baby?
00:21 He could come as a warrior, he could come as a great general, he comes as an infant,
00:25 as a newborn.
00:27 Why?
00:28 Because babies aren't scary.
00:33 And Jesus wants us to be free from all fear so that we can draw close from him and receive
00:41 from him everything that he wants to give us as he takes flesh and comes to dwell among
00:48 us.
00:49 He wants our first impression of him to be of one who does not judge.
00:56 Jesus is here to be with us in our need, in our suffering, in our sorrow.
01:03 He's here to redeem us.
01:05 He comes as our Savior.
01:07 He comes as our Lord to love us and to assure us that his grace and his peace is meant to
01:17 penetrate every part of our life.
01:20 We can be certain of that.
01:22 And also, children are what we are called to be.
01:28 The babies bring out the best in us.
01:32 And Jesus is going to say when he can speak, "Unless you change and become like a little
01:36 child, you cannot enter into the kingdom of heaven."
01:42 Jesus comes as a baby precisely to get us ready for our life with him in heaven.
01:48 And it starts right now on this glorious Christmas day, this Christmas season.
01:53 May the joy of heaven be with you and your family around the Christmas tree and around
01:58 the Christmas table.
02:00 Many blessings to you and prayers from all of us at the Alatea family.
02:05 Amen.
