00:00 There have been a lot of calls for migrant affairs to be placed under one single ministry as opposed to the HR ministry and the Home Secretary.
00:18 Perhaps you'd like to comment on if there are any plans to perhaps put everything in one single ministry or agency to handle just purely migrant affairs. Will that happen?
00:30 Okay. So, although this is the second day of the week, I'm here on Friday, but due to a lot of questions, I'll answer them.
00:43 One day after I took the oath, the first thing I did was meet and discuss with the Home Secretary, Mr. President Monsun Pion, and one of the issues we discussed was the issue of migrant workers.
01:00 So, I asked him to arrange a meeting to discuss the basics of migrant operations in Malaysia, especially in relation to the two-day fasting period.
01:18 So, we're going to make an announcement after we have our discussion and sort out the plans. That was one of the first things I did just one day after I took the oath on Thursday.
01:32 So, for me, what I did in the first two days was to discuss all the departments and laws under the Human Resources and Education Act.
01:51 I've mentioned this to the media in Kuala Lumpur on the first day. I said, "Number one, the key thing is 'kesinambungan'. This is a change or reshuffling within the same government."
02:05 So, it is not a change of government, it's the same government. So, the transition is within the same government.
02:10 We will ensure, because I want to ensure that there is a good balance in terms of basics, whatever basics that need to be improved, we will do it.
02:21 But after this, let give me some time to look through the ministry, to explore and investigate.
02:27 Not just the departments, but also the basics of the government. We will make a decision from time to time.
