Police have released security vision of the moments directly before and after a double murder in Sydney's west. Salim Hamze and his father Toufik were shot dead on a suburban street in front of their neighbours.
Transcript
00:00 Just before 9am on October 20, 2021, Salim Hamzi and his father Tufik got into their
00:08 red ute at their Guildford home, unaware of the people waiting in the silver SUV.
00:14 Armed with a gun, a hooded man jumps out and runs over to the ute, where he slips over.
00:20 So determined that he fell over.
00:23 Got up and had time still to shoot them.
00:27 In full view of neighbours, including a child, the gunman fires multiple shots at the pair
00:32 through the driver's side window.
00:34 He then runs back to the getaway car.
00:37 But they stop again, firing more shots into the ute before speeding off.
00:42 It was an atrocious act.
00:44 It was a barbaric and brazen murder.
00:49 Police say Salim was involved with the Sydney underworld, but his father wasn't.
00:54 They allege their assassination was part of a joint criminal enterprise.
00:58 While they've already charged four other men over the crime, they are yet to find the gunman
01:03 and his driver.
01:04 It's about providing that identification to us, but also providing answers to the family,
01:10 who have been waiting for over two years to get those answers of who actually did pull
01:13 the trigger.
01:14 Anyone who recognises the men or witnessed the shooting is urged to come forward.
