00:00 When you first got into the league and he was position coach, what was the connection?
00:04 What drew you guys together?
00:05 Why have you been friends for so long?
00:08 >> Look, when I was first drafted, he was quarterback's coach.
00:11 And then towards the end of the year, he really ended up getting named offensive coordinator.
00:17 So for four years, just being under him and learning from him, and he's an outstanding
00:26 teacher.
00:27 He's got unbelievable vision for plays.
00:31 And so I think just learning from him and grasping what he wanted to get done.
00:40 You always gravitate to somebody like him.
00:43 And I think that he also knew that he knew exactly what I was.
00:47 And he says it all the time and I feel the same way, man.
00:52 You wanna know, it's not necessarily about what the player can't do, it's what the player
00:59 can do.
01:00 And you're gonna get that every time.
01:03 And so you wanna know what you're getting from a player if you're gonna play him.
01:06 And so I think that I was that for him.
01:09 He knew exactly what I could do and what he asked me to do was in my wheelhouse.
01:17 I was not gonna go out and catch 50 balls.
01:20 I was not gonna be the critical third down choice route runner.
01:24 But I had a niche, I had a role and he used me for that.
01:26 And I think that's obviously where it began.
01:31 And I would have never got to Dallas had it not been for him vouching for me with Coach
01:34 Parcells.
01:35 And it just grew from there.
01:38 So look, it goes without saying, I got a tremendous amount of respect for Sean and everything
01:43 about him.
01:44 And probably the greatest compliment I can give to him is that he believed in me always
01:51 and he gave me that shot as a player and a coach.
