00:00 Welcome to Mojo Plays and today we're taking a look at 10 PlayStation 5 games that haven't
00:10 gotten as much love as they really should.
00:17 Before we begin we publish new videos all week long, so be sure to subscribe to Mojo
00:22 Plays and ring the bell to be notified about our latest videos.
00:29 Immortals Fenyx Rising While things with Ubisoft have been noticeably
00:33 rocky in terms of quality, Immortals Fenyx Rising got unfairly lost in the mix of mediocrity.
00:40 If anything, it was perhaps the most original and imaginative game Ubisoft has put out in
00:45 some time.
00:46 Sure, it's another game set in Greek mythology, but the world design, enemy variety, and humor
00:52 made the game fairly enjoyable.
01:00 The expansions also tacked on practically entirely new games.
01:04 Is it perfect?
01:05 No, but for what it is, Immortals is a ton of fun and on PlayStation 5 it can run at
01:10 a smooth 60 frames per second.
01:13 It is worth a shot for just about every type of player.
01:22 Bugsnax During the launch of the PlayStation 5, two
01:36 games dominated the zeitgeist, Demon's Souls and Marvel's Spider-Man Miles Morales.
01:41 Bugsnax was unfairly swept under the rug alongside another title we'll get to soon.
01:45 And it's a real shame because this was a fun and lighthearted adventure game.
01:55 The writing wasn't as solid as it could have been, but running around to catch all
01:58 of the bugsnax while solving clever puzzles was what made this game so entertaining.
02:03 Plus, the game received a free expansion that added new mechanics and story elements to
02:08 the game.
02:09 If you haven't already, you really should give Bugsnax a go.
02:13 Chorus The way I'd describe this game to the rest
02:16 of the Mojo Plays team was this.
02:19 Think Star Fox, but as an open world game where you never leave your cockpit.
02:23 That is exactly what Chorus is.
02:25 Venture across the galaxy to gain new weapons and discover temples that can grant you new
02:29 abilities.
02:30 And if you're one of those lore hounds, well, there's plenty of lore to learn here
02:35 for better or worse.
02:41 Those looking for a game that lets them be the space pilot they've always wanted to
02:45 be will find solace in Chorus.
02:47 We only wish it sold well enough to get a sequel.
02:56 Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy The 2020 abomination that was Marvel's Avengers
03:14 really set Guardians of the Galaxy up for failure, and unfairly so.
03:18 Because of how similar they looked, many wrote off Guardians as another potential disaster
03:23 from Square Enix.
03:24 Though no one bought it.
03:29 On the contrary, this game is way better than it was given credit for.
03:33 Even if the humor can be hit or miss for some, the combat and level design is far more creative
03:38 than what we saw in Avengers.
03:42 And it is best experienced on PlayStation 5.
03:48 Solstice Solstice may very well go down as one of those
03:51 severely underrated games of this generation, maybe even hit cult classic status.
03:57 Caveat emptor, this is not another Souls-like, don't let the visuals tell you what this
04:01 game should be.
04:03 What Solstice really is is an old school hack and slash game, much like the old days of
04:07 God of War and Darksiders 2.
04:10 That said, you can expect that this game is also freaking intense.
04:15 Like the game is just as hard as the aforementioned games, and the visuals go even harder.
04:21 Seriously, just get through the first hour and you can see how unbelievable this game
04:29 truly is.
04:35 Sackboy A Big Adventure Like Bugsnax, Sackboy's latest outing was
04:48 also shoved aside in favor of dark fantasy worlds and superheroes.
04:52 Though it isn't a traditional LittleBigPlanet title, Sackboy A Big Adventure was kind of
04:57 the shot in the arm the IP needed.
04:59 Rather than traverse on a 2.5D plane, the game plays much more like Super Mario 3D Land
05:04 and 3D World.
05:06 Levels are built in a somewhat linear path, but they give the player enough freedom to
05:09 explore, find secrets, and the like.
05:12 As for controls, Sackboy handles beautifully, so much so that you will want to grab every
05:17 secret and earn the highest rank possible in the time trial runs.
05:26 And if our praise doesn't sweeten the deal, there are a plethora of free DLC costumes
05:30 to dress up Sackboy as various Playstation characters.
05:34 Deep Rock Galactic Funny enough, Deep Rock Galactic has been
05:38 a relatively quiet success since it launched in early 2022.
05:42 If you're a fan of games with great physics and destructible environments, you may have
05:46 found your next dose of dopamine.
05:54 Deep Rock Galactic has you and your friends venture through cave systems to either retrieve
05:59 resources or find a malfunctioning machine to fix up.
06:02 From there, your cooperation and expertise in the character classes will determine whether
06:06 you succeed or not.
06:07 Yes, it can get addicting, especially if you can convince some friends to try the game
06:12 out with you.
06:16 Tormented Souls Tormented Souls is one of those games that
06:21 does and doesn't feel like it's talked about enough.
06:24 It certainly deserves your attention if you're into horror games.
06:32 Between the environments and enemies to the level design and puzzles, everything here
06:36 is a wonderful tribute to the classic survival horror games of old.
06:40 While it does retain some of the problems of those games, what it does right is done
06:43 so well that it's a bit easier to ignore the flaws.
06:46 And with a sequel on the way, there is no better time to jump into this game.
06:56 Marvel's Midnight Suns Midnight Suns was and still is unfairly dismissed
07:02 by many today.
07:03 For some reason, there is just some weird bias against card games all of a sudden.
07:09 If you are one of those folks, you are refusing to let yourself enjoy a truly fantastic game.
07:15 Midnight Suns is excellent in how it both limits you in what you can do, while also
07:19 giving you enough freedom in taking down enemies to make awesome plays.
07:24 Every hero and every villain featured here is given a ton of love in their personality,
07:28 animation, and playstyle, and it shows how much developer Fireaxis, yes, that same studio
07:34 behind Civilization, loves Marvel in almost any game they work on.
07:38 And that DLC was way, way better than we anticipated.
07:47 Returnal Now, we can understand why Returnal might
08:01 have put some folks off.
08:03 The game was an enigmatic mess at launch, causing all sorts of random problems for people.
08:08 But now that there have been some fixes in place, we can say for certain that Returnal
08:12 is well worth your time and money.
08:14 The gunplay is immensely satisfying, and you are constantly having to make tough decisions
08:19 on whether you should grab a parasite that buffs and debuffs you, or if you should risk
08:23 picking up a corrupted item.
08:25 On top of that, you have enemies that will constantly push your limits, and a brilliant
08:28 story that touches upon some dark subject matter.
08:32 Every PS5 owner needs this game.
08:35 This is the must-play, guys.
08:44 What do you believe is the most underrated game on PlayStation 5?
08:48 Did it make our list?
08:49 Let us know down in the comments, and be sure to subscribe to Mojo Plays for more PlayStation
08:53 greatness.
