00:00 Texas Longhorn star defensive tackle Tavon Dressway keeps reeling in the postseason awards, but this time he was not alone.
00:08 On Monday, Sweat along with fellow Longhorns defensive lineman Byron Murphy and wide receiver Xavier Worthy were named Associated Press All-Americans.
00:17 Sweat earned first team honors while Murphy and Worthy were both third team selections.
00:22 Sweat commented, "I give all kudos to Coach Davis. I know he ain't going to like it, but without that guy teaching me stuff, I know I wouldn't be up for that.
00:31 If I didn't believe in Coach Stark, I feel like I wouldn't be up for all of that."
00:35 Sweat recently won the Outland Trophy as the nation's top interior lineman and has established career highs with 40 tackles, 16 solo tackles, 8 tackles for loss, 2 sacks, and 4 pass breakups already this season.
00:50 Murphy was also a big part of this defense, finishing with 26 tackles, 8 tackles for loss, and 5 sacks.
00:57 The duo of Murphy and Sweat helped lead their Longhorns defense to the nation's best third down and red zone defense.
01:05 Worthy earned his third team honors in the all-purpose category, thanks in large part to his production in the punt return game.
01:12 The California native finished the season with 73 catches for 969 yards and 5 scores, as well as 21 punt returns for 358 yards and a touchdown.
01:23 The star Longhorns and company will now get a chance to add national champions to the list of accomplishments as they take on the second-ranked Washington Huskies in the All-State Sugar Bowl college football playoffs.
