00:00 >> It's very big because, again, it's exposure that some
00:03 of these young people would never,
00:04 ever get an opportunity to experience.
00:07 You know, there are a couple kids that have been invited
00:11 to other bowl games to play.
00:13 There's one or two kids that may have been invited
00:16 to the Combine in Indianapolis, the Hula Bowl,
00:21 and some of the other games.
00:23 But to get 120 players, that's what they're inviting,
00:27 60 from the two sides, together from HBCUs to play
00:34 and show what their possibilities are to the NFL.
00:39 Because all the teams will send their scouts there,
00:42 and they will have what we call a mini Combine among the HBCU
00:47 players, and so senior eligible HBCU players that will be there.
00:53 I mean, you've got Jeremy Moussa will be there.
00:55 You've got Davey Richard will be there.
00:57 You've got Lupe Dinellas will be there, you know,
01:00 and those seniors to show that they belong.
01:03 Kenny Garrett has another year, so he won't be there
01:06 from Howard University.
01:08 But there's quite a few players that will be there
01:12 to represent their universities and to represent HBCUs.
01:16 And one of the whole -- the thoughts behind this
01:21 particular event, as you know, for a number of years,
01:24 HBCU players, players from schools were not getting
01:27 drafted, you know, by the NFL.
01:30 And this was an opportunity.
01:31 Last year, even with this, there was only one player drafted.
01:35 You know, everybody else that went in signed as a free agent.
01:38 You know, there was some that made teams, but, you know,
01:43 they're not getting drafted, and that's the unfortunate part.
01:46 And we know there are players out there
01:49 that deserve to be drafted.
