00:00 Do you think that the characters made it to the bunker?
00:03 - Yes, that's the wonderment, isn't it?
00:04 I mean, it's funny 'cause Sam and I
00:07 have had many conversations about this,
00:10 about how, what we wanted people to think at the end
00:14 because we didn't want everyone just kind of left
00:18 in this like gutted pile of goo and collapse.
00:23 But you also don't wanna tie it up in a bow.
00:27 So how do you find that balance?
00:30 And I think it's a little bit left to a person to decide,
00:33 if they make it or not.
00:37 I love the music cue at the end.
00:40 I think that that's just something
00:41 that's sort of a bit of a parting gift
00:44 that Sam came up with that I think is really brilliant.
00:48 But I think it is kind of, you have to decide.
00:52 I guess it really shows if you're an optimist or a pessimist.
00:58 - If you're asking my interpretation,
00:59 I do think they make it to the bunker, yes.
01:02 That's what I would want.
01:03 So that's what I would imagine.
01:05 (laughing)
01:06 - What do your viewers kind of take away from this,
01:08 especially with that shocking ending but great.
01:11 - The ending?
01:12 I would say if I'm being honest, I think it's polarizing.
01:15 I think, especially the mystery thriller,
01:18 I think people are used to having an answer or a solution,
01:22 especially when they've invested in these characters.
01:25 They wanna make sure that they're gonna make it
01:27 out alive, that everything's gonna be okay.
01:30 And that's a testament to the cast
01:32 that the audience members really do,
01:36 felt such a strong attachment to these people.
01:41 So it was kind of bewildering to them
01:44 that they don't get that sort of easy answer.
01:47 But in a way, I love that because it provokes conversation.
01:51 Those are my favorite types of movie going experiences
01:54 that when you leave the theater,
01:55 you can go to a coffee shop and spend two hours debating
01:59 and hearing different interpretations
02:00 of what would have happened, what did happen,
02:02 what's going on.
02:04 And hopefully the movie inspires
02:07 that kind of same conversation.
