South Coast Marine Rescue units have had a busy month out on the water responding to calls for assistance.

00:00 Unfortunately, what we've seen over November is that far too many boaters are getting into

00:27 difficulty for what we call avoidable incidents, things like running out of fuel and flat batteries,

00:32 and that's really disappointing from our side of things.

00:34 Marine Rescue NSW is urging all boaters before they head out on the water to make sure that

00:38 they check their equipment, make sure that they've got enough fuel for their voyage,

00:42 and importantly, they log on with their local marine rescue base.
