Analyst Surprised by 33% Willingness to Buy Tesla's Cybertruck

A survey conducted by Canaccord Genuity found that 67% of respondents said they would not buy the Tesla Cybertruck, while 33% said they would. The survey included a broad group of people beyond just Tesla's 2 million Cybertruck reservation holders. Canaccord analyst George Gianarikas said the 33% willingness to buy was "a lot better than we expected." Many respondents were put off or excited by the Cybertruck's unconventional design. Tesla recently revealed pricing for the Cybertruck starting at $79,990 for the all-wheel drive version with 340 mile range. A tri-motor "Cyberbeast" will start at $99,990. The cheapest rear-wheel drive Cybertruck won't be available until 2025, starting at $60,990 but with unspecified range and power.
