Motor-mad Ryan Camp transformed an old pick-up truck into the ULTIMATE racing vehicle. Ryan decided to build his own mud truck after attending events and watching other drivers compete. His truck, Sick 50 Mega Truck, can jump over hills and race through four-feet deep mud.The 429 stone truck started life as an old 1950 Chevrolet full body truck. It took Ryan, 35, from Georgia, USA, a year to complete his dream mud truck.

00:13 This is the intense and dirty world of mega mud trucks.
00:16 00;05;30;10 00;05;36;00 >> The adrenaline rush is like no other. It's unbelievable. We have
00:26 different events at every event. There's the tire pull. There's hill and hole event, that's
00:32 where we jump the truck, cross three hills at a time of the event. There will also be
00:36 mud drags where we're in the mud, side by side drag racing. It's better than any drug.
00:43 00;05;36;00 >> An avid fan of mega truck events, Ryan Kemp from Georgia, USA, felt he could
00:50 no longer stay on the sidelines and decided to have his own competition standard vehicle
00:55 built so he could take part himself.
00:57 00;05;36;00 >> That original truck is just a two wheel drive low rider street truck.
01:02 Bought it over in South Carolina. I made about a four hour drive. Basically there and back,
01:07 bought the truck, took it to BMF Fab. They began the process of starting the chassis.
01:12 00;05;43;00 >> It took a whole year and an outlay of $80,000 for his 650 mega truck to
01:18 be finished.
01:19 00;05;50;00 >> It's a 1950 Chevrolet, a full body truck, it's all steel. It has a 540 blower
01:28 motor. It's a 1271 BDS street blower. Runs on alcohol. It's got two and a half ton axles,
01:37 front and rear. It has 20 inch travel Scott shocks. These are the 13.626BKT171s. They've
01:47 been cut and scooped for more traction. The rims are powder coated with a metallic finish.
01:53 It's got the full roll cage, five point harnesses, special seats, everything about them. Safety
02:01 is definitely number one priority.
02:03 00;06;00;00 >> Despite the extensive safety features, Ryan's wife Brittany still has her
02:07 concerns.
02:08 00;06;05;00 >> As his wife, I'm always his number one fan. When we were at West Georgia
02:12 Mud Park a couple of weeks ago, they were just out playing around. They had done a jump.
02:18 When he landed, he landed on two wheels. That is probably the most nerve wracking thing,
02:24 is just knowing that there is a possibility that they could flip.
02:29 00;06;14;00 >> So far, Ryan has taken part in eight competitions. Today, he's driving
02:34 at Trucks Gone Wild at Bithlow Mud Racing in Florida, USA. Even before the event has
02:41 begun, his vehicle is attracting attention.
02:43 00;06;21;00 >> Very unique truck. One of a kind. Beautiful paint job. Beautiful truck.
02:49 Nice craftsmanship.
02:50 00;06;29;00 >> I think it's beautiful. I've always loved older model vehicles. You see
02:54 one all jacked up with all the different equipment that you don't see on other vehicles.
02:59 00;06;39;00 >> But it won't stay clean and shiny for long, as Ryan prepares for today's
03:04 event.
03:05 00;06;45;00 >> We have different events at every event. This one happens to be the tire
03:07 pull. This is the tri-truck challenge. There will be a three-truck team.
03:11 00;06;57;00 >> Two seconds off the clock. We're going to start with the tires. We're
03:41 going to start with the tires. We're going to start with the tires. We're going to start
04:10 to my son.
