00:00 The summer where you reclaimed your world championship gold medal, how much did that
00:10 mean to you?
00:11 It meant the world.
00:12 For me, like I said, I've never wanted, or like, my goal has never been to be a multiple
00:18 time world champion or multiple time Olympic champion.
00:22 My goal was always to win the world, to win the Olympics, and then I ticked it off in
00:26 2019, getting close to ticking off the Olympics, but since then, rules have changed, different
00:31 kicks have been allowed, not allowed, so it did hinder how I fought quite a bit.
00:36 So then I lost my title last year, getting silver, where a few things went against me,
00:41 what was a bit, what was annoying, and I'm like, alright, no, I want to win it again
00:45 to prove that I'm still the top, top of the weight, and then prove that with these new
00:50 rules I'm not a person to be cowered out, I'm still one of the best, and that's what
00:54 I did.
00:55 So I'm having that relief, not just to prove to everyone else, to prove to myself that
00:58 I've still got it and I'm still a contender for Paris.
01:01 Exactly, and moving into Olympic year now, everything geared towards Paris 2024.
01:05 Yeah, definitely, even coming up to the GP final this year, obviously this, we're having
01:10 a hopefully peak for the GP final this year, so when I start my prep for next year, I'm
01:14 already at a top level and we're building from that point rather than building from
01:18 a lower level, but it's about getting as much learning, as much feedback as possible to
01:25 make sure that I'm on the top of the podium when it comes to Paris.
01:28 If I win, if I lose, I want to make sure that whatever happens I just go out and perform,
01:32 we get that feedback, we understand what went wrong, what went right, and then we can tailor
01:36 our plan all the way until August when I'll be at that Paris, hopefully on the top position.
01:42 you
