Most expensive Santas Grottos in the UK

The Ritz London x Hamley's toystore top the charts at being the most expensive in the UK.

00:04 Well, at least the companies that run them anyway.

00:07 One Santa's grotto costs 250 pound a ticket.

00:11 Yes, while she can get up to six people,

00:14 inclusive of at least one adult,

00:16 the Ritz in London is working with Hamleys,

00:19 the luxury toy store, to put on the luxurious grotto

00:23 that's for two to 10 year olds.

00:25 You get a good hot chocolate,

00:26 some games and a personalized gift.

00:30 And don't get excited about Harrods

00:32 putting on a Christmas grotto,

00:34 as theirs have been scrapped

00:36 after lots of controversy over the years.

00:39 Yes, because Harrods said

00:40 they were charging 20 pound a ticket,

00:42 which seems reasonable for such an expensive store,

00:45 but with the caveat that you spent

00:47 at least 2000 pounds in store.

00:50 Yet this was actually changed a year later

00:53 because there was a lot of kickoffs about it.

00:56 And so they decided to release 160

00:59 of the thousands of tickets for lower spending families.

01:03 But after all this, it's now been scrapped.
