Aerial footage shows the destruction of a section of Harlestone Firs following the felling of 1,800 trees. The removal of the trees is part of wider works to make way for the new £54.5 million North West Relief Road (NWRR), which is set to be complete in summer 2024. As well as the NWRR, 3,000 new homes are set to be built in the area. Developers have promised to replant 8,000 native trees and shrubs at the firs. Footage taken by airthreemedia.
