00:10 >> Yeah, penalties and turnovers.
00:10 We had a pick, we had a fumble.
00:13 And then, it seemed like every time we got down there, we had some kind of penalty.
00:16 And it's hard to overcome those.
00:18 In a normal drive, let alone when you're down there,
00:21 cuz now the field shrinks and it's hard to get those yards back.
00:24 So that's the fact, that's just what it is.
00:28 >> Do you get a chance to see what happened on the pick six on the tablet
00:31 afterwards?
00:33 >> Yeah, I know, I mean, he was playing one single high and
00:35 he left his responsibility.
00:37 You don't expect him to do that.
00:40 You don't plan on that for that route.
00:46 I thought she'd made a good decision.
00:47 But basically a player and he made a great play.
00:52 And very few times have I told someone good job on a bad play, but
00:57 that was one where I told him, hey, you beat me, you made a great play.
01:01 And it is what it is.
01:03 It sucks to have that happen.
01:04 But same thing, RC, on the sideline, he's like, bro, you made a good play.
01:09 Go, keep playing.
01:10 You're playing great, keep going.
01:12 And you still don't want that to happen, but they make plays too.
01:17 >> You put your finger on, it seems like for the last couple weeks,
01:21 moving the ball is not a problem for you.
01:23 >> Yeah, red zone.
01:25 Yeah, red zone, I'm with you.
01:27 And I feel the same frustration everybody probably feels.
01:29 I'm into problem solving, creating problems.
01:34 And so I'm trying to figure out why.
01:37 We'll look at this one real closely.
01:40 Us players and coaches, we'll look at it closely.
01:45 But I understand the frustration.
01:47 I understand that we haven't met the expectation yet of what we can be and
01:51 what we've shown to be at times as a team, I'm saying.
01:55 But one of those areas for us as an offense is the red zone,
01:57 where we'll have good days, we'll have some good plays.
02:00 And all of a sudden, we have a day like today where,
02:03 today I think the penalty's really hurt, pushing us back, obviously,
02:07 in the two turnovers, which is something I take a lot of pride in not doing.
02:12 And I know Taysom, we count on him all the time.
02:17 We're gonna continue to count on him.
02:19 It happens, it's part of the game.
02:21 It sucks that it all happened at one time in one game.
02:25 But it's a fact, I'm not gonna be frustrated anymore.
02:29 I'm gonna be positive.
02:30 I've seen when a team has battled and gone through a lot of things,
02:36 and still made the playoffs.
02:38 And what did it was us coming together.
02:41 Everyone on the outside wanted this and wanted that, thought this and thought that.
02:46 But I'm telling you, man, if we can come together and keep pushing, keep working.
02:52 We played our best football the last five weeks of that year.
02:55 We made it to the playoffs.
02:56 And that's what we have to do as a team.
02:59 And that's what I share with the guys.
03:01 But if you come in with a long face, and no one on Twitter likes you right now,
03:05 and all that kind of stuff, then this is the wrong business.
03:08 And this is gonna be the wrong month and a half for you.
03:11 This right here, we're gonna find out what guys are made up with their work ethic and
03:16 how they wanna come to work.
03:17 Because we still have everything that we wanna do, but we need,
03:23 and we will correct certain things when we take a look at it tomorrow.
03:27 >> You had a strong connection with Chris there in the first half.
03:30 Just how hard was it losing him and Shaheed in the same game?
03:34 >> I mean, it's tough.
03:35 But at the end of the day, I always say nobody cares.
03:40 We care about them.
03:41 We care about their injuries.
03:44 And I'm just so proud of the relationships that we've built and
03:47 the things that we're doing better on the field together.
03:51 So when that went down, it was like, dang, something else happened.
03:55 So it's a little frustrating.
03:56 But at the end of the day, nobody cares, man.
03:59 Our guys came in and I thought the young guys and
04:02 guys that maybe don't play as much, they came in and
04:05 they did their best and made some plays for us.
04:08 It wasn't perfect, but gave us a chance.
04:12 They gave us a chance and competed to tell them.
04:14 So I was proud of them for that.
04:16 But I was really excited about the game plan, what we had for
04:19 Chris and Rashid, and it's a shame that they both went down early.
04:23 >> Dennis told us that on that third down play at the A.T.,
04:26 he just thought he false started.
04:28 >> Yeah.
04:29 >> So on that specific type of play, you were just, it's basically catch and
04:32 go, throw into a spot.
04:34 >> Yeah, I saw him kinda stutter, and so I thought he was doing his release.
04:38 And the one on one is outside to him, they doubled inside.
04:42 And so I was working outside to him, and I didn't know what he said,
04:47 because they were over there, but apparently he thought he false started.
04:51 As soon as I let it go, I kinda looked to the sideline,
04:53 I thought there was gonna be a whistle or a flag.
04:55 But I think he just thought he jumped.
04:58 [BLANK_AUDIO]
05:01 >> After just getting the chance to self scout last week and
05:05 kinda identifying a lot of issues, did some of those same issues crop up again
05:10 today, you think, or did you correct some things?
05:13 >> I thought we corrected some things, honestly.
05:15 I thought third downs, we didn't have them all, but I thought we were better.
05:18 I thought we hit some big third downs.
05:20 Even when we got behind the sticks, I thought we got some chunks back to help
05:23 put us back in the chance, or give us a chance to get a first down again in
05:28 the red zone.
05:29 I thought that we ran the ball in certain areas under center really well,
05:33 which helps some play action plays open up big time for us, especially in the first.
