00:00 G'day, I'm Paul. This is the new Volkswagen Tiguan. Well, it is a Volkswagen Tiguan underneath
00:05 all this stuff. This is a camouflage prototype of it. Today I'm going to walk you through
00:09 just some of the stuff we can see on this on the outside, and some of the stuff that
00:12 we already know about the Tiguan as well. It is going to be revealed shortly in its
00:16 full form. We have already seen leaked images of this through trademark filings, and also
00:20 through some photography and video they were doing of the car, so we kind of already know
00:24 what it looks like. But down the front here you've got this LED strip, then blends into
00:28 a set of full LED headlights. Have a look at this as well. This whole bottom section
00:32 is fairly closed over. This is going to come with a variety of engines at launch, but for
00:36 the Australian market we're not going to be taking the plug-in hybrid. We're likely to
00:39 get a diesel or a petrol, or some type of version of that. We won't be getting the plug-in
00:45 hybrid. Volkswagen really wants to push people towards their ID products for full electric,
00:49 and skip plug-in hybrids specifically for Volkswagen as well. Come around to the side
00:53 here. So in terms of dimensions, this is longer than the old one, but it shares the same wheelbase.
00:58 And that's because it's an evolved version of the existing platform for Tiguan. So that
01:02 means it's going to be pretty familiar when it comes to sizing. I do hope that they actually
01:07 look at packaging as well. The last one was good for packaging, but I think that given
01:10 it is on the same wheelbase, hopefully it does actually have a bit more room inside
01:13 the cabin. Now you can't really see inside the cabin here, but I do love these seats.
01:17 You've got the R logo there for R-Line. They sort of have a material section in the bottom,
01:22 and then they hug you in nicely as well. Central to that cabin is a big 15-inch display. You
01:28 also have a little rotary dial there as well to select drive modes and other sort of drive
01:31 experience settings in Tiguan. It looks like a really classy cabin, and it also looks like
01:36 they've ditched some of those clumsy buttons on the steering wheel. It's gone back to physical
01:39 buttons. So I am pretty excited to drive this, and I think that this is going to be a big
01:43 car for Volkswagen. It is going to be arriving into Australia late 2024. Shortly, they're
01:48 actually going to be revealing this publicly to give us a better idea of what engines it's
01:51 going to come with, and what we can expect for the Australian market when it finally
01:54 does go on sale. So let me know in the comments section below, what are you hoping for with
01:57 Tiguan? Do you own one at the moment? What's it been like, and are you happy with it all?
02:01 I'm keen for your feedback. It's been a first look at the prototype car. Let me know what
02:06 you reckon, and if you haven't done so already, subscribe to the channel and press the bell
02:09 icon. And if you did enjoy this video, make sure you like it and you share it with your
