00:00 That's why basically I'm here, to identify the talent, to educate the talent, to give
00:07 them a good level of competition and to integrate India among the best teams in the world.
00:17 The potential is there, the talent is there, it's down to the quality of what we will do.
00:24 I believe we have an opportunity to change the world of football.
00:30 Football is the number one sport in the world and a country like India with 1.4 billion has
00:37 to exist in this world and that's why we are here.
00:41 It is designed to give every talent a chance in the world, to develop the potential of
00:50 the country, to help them to reach their maximum potential and that's why we do that all over
00:57 the world.
00:58 Football has huge potential in India.
01:02 Nearly 18% of the total television viewership comes from football viewers of India.
01:07 In this regard, you know how ISL is doing well and it has changed the entire football
01:13 infrastructure of India in the last 10 years.
01:16 In this time, I think now it's time for youth, look at the grass root and then focus on how
01:25 we can do this youth development.
01:26 I think FIFA's TDS, which is Talent Development Scheme, headed by Mr. Arsene Wenger and his
01:32 team, I think it's going to put a significant change for Indian football and we are coming
01:39 up with several plans, projects under this scheme so that how Indian boys and girls can
01:45 get benefit out of it.
01:46 As Arsene often says, every child has a talent and every talent should get an opportunity.
01:52 So when we develop world football, when FIFA develops world football, India should be part
01:58 of that world football map.
01:59 So this is, I think, this is the main idea of FIFA's Talent Development Scheme.
02:03 So FIFA's development programme for the world football, where is India?
02:08 Where is India today and where will India be five years down the line?
02:13 Today has been a really special day because we're here in Odisha to see the launch of
02:17 the Talent Coach project with the AIFF and of course with the city of Bhubaneswar.
02:25 This is the first academy of its type in India and we're bringing together some of the most
02:31 talented young players in the country, working with some of our FIFA staff and also working
02:36 with the AIFF staff as well.
02:38 So this is an ambitious project and there are lots of people to thank really for making
02:45 this a possibility.
02:47 When we look at football across the world and when our president talks about making
02:53 football truly global, we can only achieve that if India comes on that journey with us.
02:58 And Vision 2047 is an attempt to try and make sure that India is in the heart of the global
03:06 football game.
03:07 So as FIFA we're delighted that the Vision has been written and we're here to support
03:15 everyone in India that has aspirations to see the game grow and for India to be successful
03:20 at the international level.
03:23 [ambient noise]
