The Israel-Hamas war will see a four-day cease-fire
in which 50 hostages who are being held in
Gaza will be released, NBC News reports.
Three Americans, including a
3-year-old girl, are expected to be among
the first round of hostages released. .
The Red Cross will also be granted access
to remaining hostages in Gaza.
In exchange, Israel will free 150 jailed Palestinians and allow hundreds of aid trucks to enter Gaza. .
The Israeli government referred to the
deal as an opportunity to "consolidate the
will of our victorious resistance.".
The agreement also includes an option to
extend the cease-fire if 10 hostages are
released each day, according to an Israeli official. .
The start time of the cease-fire
has yet to be announced.
President Joe Biden, who took part in the
negotiations, was happy to see a positive result from
an "extremely excruciating five-week process.".
