02:15 he reiterated our need for US support and other allies in securing the West Philippine Sea

02:23 while reiterating that we will not give up even a inch of our territory.

02:28 The increasing tensions in the South China Sea require that we partner with our allies and our friends around the world

02:38 so as to be able to come to some kind of resolution and to maintain the peace.

02:44 I have said it before and I will say it again.

02:48 The Philippines will not give a single square inch of our territory to any foreign power.

02:56 The law is clear as defined by the UNCLOS and the final and binding 2016 award on the South China Sea arbitration.

03:05 The people's liberation army is also getting closer to our exclusive economic zone.

03:12 The nearest reefs that the PLA have started to show interest in,

03:20 in terms of slowly using these atolls, these shoals, as a basis for building,

03:31 basis really is what they are, are approaching, have come closer and closer to the Philippine coastline.

03:39 And the nearest one is now around 60 nautical miles from the nearest Philippine coast.

03:46 And this is an evolving situation.

03:51 Before visiting Hawaii, the President also helped the Filipino community in Los Angeles, California.
