There is a concern that funds acquired through illegal means, under the pretext of a halal certificate using forged documents, may be contributing to the financing of terrorist groups and anti-national activities. As per the filed FIR, entities such as Halal India Private Limited in Chennai, Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind Halal Trust in Delhi, Halal Council of India in Mumbai, Jamiat Ulama Maharashtra, and others have allegedly capitalized on religious sentiments to enhance sales by issuing Halal certificates to consumers of a specific religion.
