00:00 Cowboy casserole was originally created for the campfires,
00:02 but it makes a great easy dinner at home.
00:04 I'll start by cooking my bacon
00:05 in a large cast iron skillet.
00:06 This is also the skillet we'll use to bake the casserole.
00:09 Once that's brown and crispy,
00:10 take it out and break it up into small pieces.
00:12 Take half the drainings out
00:13 and then add in the hamburger and onion
00:15 and cook that until it's no longer pink.
00:16 Drain any excess grease
00:18 and then just stir in your bacon,
00:19 baked beans, and barbecue sauce.
00:21 Bring that mixture up to a simmer
00:22 and then top it with biscuits.
00:24 Place the pan into the oven at 375 degrees
00:26 for about 15 minutes or until the biscuits are cooked.
00:28 Looky there.
00:30 This totally makes me think of something you would serve
00:32 if you were camping.
00:33 I've seen versions topped with cheddar cheese,
00:35 so I'm gonna do a little bit of that
00:37 and a little green onion.
00:38 Yeehaw!
00:39 My kids would absolutely devour this.
