00:02 Here's Dan Lanning.
00:04 I'm not listening to any other jobs.
00:06 - There's obviously been some talk about you
00:07 and another school in the last couple days.
00:10 Just your thoughts on that, how you handled that
00:13 and just your commitment to Oregon.
00:15 - Yeah, we talk about outside noise a lot in our program.
00:18 I guess the reality here is one,
00:20 my name and our program would never be in a topic
00:24 of conversation for another school
00:26 if we didn't have something here that everybody else wanted.
00:28 And the reason we have something here
00:30 that everybody else wants,
00:31 that's because of what our players, our coaches,
00:34 the support that exists here at Oregon have created.
00:36 I think I've been really, really clear here since day one.
00:39 Everything I want exists right here.
00:41 I'm not going anywhere.
00:42 There's zero chance that I would be coaching somewhere else.
00:45 I've got unfinished business here.
00:47 There's a lot that I wanna accomplish here at Oregon.
00:49 My number one priority is being elite here at Oregon.
00:53 - Scott, the Dr. Evil chair.
00:56 - Well, yeah, I know he loves that chair.
00:59 Now that's all fine and good, Joe,
01:01 but I've seen guys sit in that same room
01:05 with that same logo behind them,
01:08 all say the same thing and all of them eventually leave.
01:11 Chip Kelly, Mario Cristobal,
01:15 who's the other guy that went to Florida State
01:16 and washed out within a year?
01:18 - Helfrich.
01:19 - Oh no, well, who's the other,
01:20 and what about the guy who went to Florida State
01:22 and did an awful job there?
01:25 Who was that?
01:26 Willie Taggart also goes to,
01:28 so if Oregon's so great, why does everybody leave, Joe,
01:33 for somewhere else with more money if they're so great?
01:37 - Because it's, why?
01:39 Because it's bigger and better.
01:41 We know that.
01:42 Texas A&M has more money than Oregon,
01:44 even though Phil Knight backs that program.
01:47 Again, it comes down to do you wanna win or not?
01:49 And maybe right now,
01:51 entering this weekend against Arizona State,
01:53 it's a zero chance,
01:55 but if he wins this week and they lose in,
01:58 let's say the Civil War,
02:00 I know you, that's what you call it, right?
02:03 Against Oregon State.
02:05 - That's what it is.
02:05 - Guess what?
02:06 Then it's a 50-50 shot.
02:08 And then if they lose in the Pac-12 championship,
02:11 then it's an 80-20 shot.
02:13 So money drives the bus.
02:15 You know that as well as anybody,
02:17 that if they lose before they reach
02:20 the Pac-12 championship game,
02:22 Dan Lanning and his Dr. Evil chair
02:24 will be out of Eugene before you know it.
02:26 You know it as well as I do.
02:29 - They will, they have a problem with 23 1/2
02:31 in the desert this week, Joe, on the road.
02:34 Give Dillingham some credit.
02:35 They've been competitive, Joe, very competitive.
02:40 - Arizona State's defense is pretty good,
02:44 and they're pretty good in run support as well.
02:46 I'll just say this,
02:47 Dillingham, if anybody knows about the tendencies
02:50 of Dan Lanning,
02:51 you would have to think it's Kenny Dillingham
02:53 being the offensive coordinator.
02:55 If anybody potentially can slow down Bo Nix,
02:58 you would have to think it's his former OC in Dillingham.
03:01 So does he have the personnel to do it?
03:04 He had the personnel to do it against Washington.
03:07 So I'm inclined to take the 23 1/2
03:10 with the Sun Devils right now.
