00:00 Well, this shows the total failure of Rishi Sunak's
00:03 judgment, as well as the failure of his Rwanda plan.
00:07 He was warned repeatedly about the problems with the plan,
00:10 and yet he made it the central part of his policy,
00:13 and also paid Rwanda £140 million
00:17 that we now can't get back, and they've wasted all this time.
00:20 We need a serious plan to go after the criminal gangs
00:23 who are undermining border security,
00:25 who are putting lives at risk,
00:27 a serious plan to end the asylum chaos by clearing the backlog
00:31 and ending hotel use, and that would save the taxpayer
00:35 billions of pounds.
00:37 We need a proper plan working internationally
00:39 to stop dangerous boat crossings,
00:42 and to make sure that we have proper border security
00:45 and a functioning and fair asylum system
00:48 that is properly managed and controlled.
00:50 Instead, all we've had is gimmicks,
00:52 lots of gimmicks and promises,
00:54 instead of actually doing the hard work to get a grip.
