From angry bulls to many, many wolves, the Legendary Animals in AC Valhalla are not to be messed with. If you do decide to mess with them, however, here are the locations of each of them, plus some tips on how to beat them!
Transcript
00:00 There are nine legendary animals in the world of Assassin's Creed Valhalla, and they are
00:18 some of the toughest fights you'll come across. However, slaying them will net you
00:22 an item reward as thanks, and a trophy at the Hunter's Hut in Ravensthorpe. Just speak
00:28 to Wallace when you've killed one, and the trophy will be mounted in the Longhouse.
00:32 These legendary challenges are marked on the map with a blue paw print symbol when you
00:36 get close enough, but from a distance you'll only see a standard blue mystery dot, so we're
00:41 here to help you find them.
00:43 The fights are tough, as you'd expect, so make sure you've got your best gear equipped
00:47 and a full stack of rations and arrows. As with any big enemy, dodge the heavy, unblockable
00:53 attacks and learn their attack patterns. The most important thing is to make the most of
00:58 your ranged abilities to keep out of reach. An essential skill for slaughtering high-level
01:02 creatures is the Focus of Nornir. Once it's upgraded, you can use your Stamina Bar to
01:07 fire high-powered arrows into furry hides in slow motion.
01:12 So without further ado, if you'll please excuse my attempts at pronouncing the English
01:16 town names, here are the nine legendary animal locations in Assassin's Creed Valhalla.
01:21 Elk of Bloody Peaks, Rigefilke. The first and easiest legendary animal is the Elk of
01:27 Bloody Peaks, found in the starting region of Rigefilke. You can find it in the southern
01:31 mountains next to a huge waterfall.
01:34 Black Shuck, East Anglia. The Black Shuck is a rabid wolf and you can find it in the
01:39 south-east corner of East Anglia, past Bajorda Rixworth. He's one of the easier legendary
01:45 animals in Assassin's Creed Valhalla, so just keep plugging away and keep dodging.
01:50 The Corpse Feeders, Oxenfordshire. The Corpse Feeders are in Oxenfordshire, north-east of
01:55 Buckingham and west of the Synchronisation Point. And yes, that's Feeders. These are
02:00 three wolves, each with their own health bars and desire to rip your throat out. Keep far
02:05 away and keep zooming around picking up arrows from the corpses of those who have tried before.
02:10 These three love grabbing you, and you'll have to hammer RB to get them to let go. Again,
02:15 those melee ranged abilities are a gift from the Norse gods here.
02:19 Gemadwulf, Lincolnshire. Not far south of Grimsby is where you'll find the wolf, close
02:24 to another blue dot on the map. This particular battle takes place in a nice big arena, but
02:30 our wolfy pal brings in some of his friends to help with a howl. Use disposing of those
02:34 as a way to stock up some abilities, and then let loose on the Gemadwulf to get him out
02:39 of the way fast and get his head on your longhouse wall.
02:43 Elfrid's Battlesow, Sussex. You can find this in the south-west of Corindine in Sussex,
02:49 right next to Tuica's Farm. It's worth noting here that this isn't actually a pig
02:53 as you'd expect from the name - it's a really, really angry bull, and it brings in
02:58 all of its penmates to the fight. While the other horned creatures are useful for building
03:02 a combo and filling your ability bar, you don't need to kill everything in the pen
03:05 to win. Focus on the big bad and then, uh, hoof it out of there once he's down, and
03:11 you've got your trophy to take back to Wallace at the Hunter's Hut.
03:14 Beast of the Hills, Syrupshire. Sightbang in the middle of Syrupshire is where you want
03:19 to head for this bear. He's hidden underground east of the Rocken and west of Wenlican Abbey.
03:25 Keep an eye out for an entrance on the side of the hill - this particular arena is indoors,
03:29 so make sure you have enough arrows and rations.
03:32 Wildcats of the Weald, Hamptonshire. Feline Double Trouble is lurking in the highest level
03:38 area of Hamptonshire, in the shape of two lynxes. Keep using your abilities, keep light
03:43 on your feet, make sure you've got plenty of arrows and you shouldn't have to be at
03:47 the expected level to better these two wildcats.
03:50 The Blood Swine, Jorvikshire. In the furthest south section, just over the river from Snottingham
03:56 and west of Fiskarton, is where you'll find the Blood Swine. Again, even below level this
04:01 is possible, as long as you keep using Odin's sight to make sure you always know where he's
04:06 charging from.
04:07 A quick warning before the last one - the final legendary animal has minor spoilers
04:11 if you haven't finished the quest with Valkyr, called In Dreams. Stop watching here if you've
04:16 not reached that point.
04:18 Steinbjorn, Jotunheim. After completing the Asgard storyline, when you get to Jotunheim,
04:24 the hardest legendary animal can be found here. This is Steinbjorn, and is directly
04:28 north of the synchronisation point. This is the hardest legendary animal in the game,
04:33 at power level 400, so you might want to do a little bit of level grinding first before
04:38 you show up at his gate.
04:39 So those are the 9 legendary animals you'll have to face to become the ultimate Viking.
04:44 Hopefully you can see past my dodgy pronunciation to find the locations. Let us know how you
04:49 get on in the comments below, and subscribe to GamesRadar for more gaming guides, reviews
04:54 and previews. Thanks for watching.
