00:00 The Impact Ring Stand.
00:04 You can adjust the kickstand that's built into the ring up to 150 degrees to get that perfect angle.
00:13 I am always watching something while I'm getting ready to film.
00:17 It's great for following along to a warm-up before I go running,
00:21 and absolutely perfect so I don't have to hold my phone to watch ASMR impact.
00:27 Casetify's Impact Case has a 6.6 foot drop protection,
00:33 has MagSafe compatible options,
00:36 and is made out of 65% recycled and plant-based materials.
00:42 Of course, I don't have to tell you that Casetify cases come in so, so many different prints.
00:49 So if you'd like to check it out, go to casetify.com/gibi.
00:53 Thank you again, Casetify, so much for sponsoring tonight's video.
00:57 And thank you so much for watching.
01:01 Hello. Thank you so much for coming into our lab today.
01:07 You're going to be undergoing several tests.
01:11 They may feel very random and disjointed.
01:14 There are quite a few studies going on that we're going to be gathering information from.
01:20 It also is going to depend on your demographic and what we need.
01:27 So, I do want to let you know that I'll be explaining each test before and as it happens.
01:35 You can stop or skip any test at any time.
01:40 So could I get your name please?
01:43 And did you sign up online?
01:49 Okay.
01:51 Your age?
01:53 Okay.
01:56 And any allergies?
01:59 Okay.
02:02 Perfect.
02:05 What is a good contact number for any results or information about studies that you may be participating in?
02:18 Okay.
02:20 Great. Awesome.
02:26 The first test has to do with two items that I'm going to show you.
02:33 This is the first item.
02:36 I'm going to tap on it.
02:40 And bring it close to your eyes and your ears.
02:47 So you can examine it without touching.
02:51 Do you know what this object is?
03:12 What it may be used for?
03:15 Okay.
03:17 And do you think you know what material this object is made out of?
03:29 Great.
03:38 Now I'm going to take this object and I'm going to very gently glide it across all the parts on top of your head scalp.
03:49 I want you to close your eyes and as I'm moving this object over your head,
03:56 I want you to let me know if there are any places that you can't feel this item.
04:04 Additionally, if you notice that any areas are very different in sensation,
04:12 so maybe you can feel it but maybe it is more sensitive or more intense or less sensitive, less intense,
04:19 but you can still feel a little bit, let me know.
04:22 Okay. Ready?
04:25 You can close your eyes to better feel it rather than go by looking at where my hands are.
04:35 You felt that? Good.
04:43 I will keep going then.
04:47 [soft brushing]
04:49 How was that side?
05:02 Were there any differences in sensation?
05:06 Okay. Close your eyes again.
05:09 [soft brushing]
05:11 And how about that side?
05:29 Any differences in sensation, loss of feeling, hypersensitivity?
05:34 Great.
05:37 [soft brushing]
05:39 Next, I'm going to show you the second item that is part of this test.
05:48 Here it is.
05:51 Once again, I'm going to bring this close to your eyes and ears
05:58 and I'm going to tap on it and handle it so you can get a sense of its properties
06:07 without actually touching it.
06:25 Do you have a guess as to what this item is or what it may be used for?
06:31 Okay.
06:34 And...
06:37 this part here.
06:43 Can you give me an estimation or a guess as to what material this part is made of?
06:54 And how about this part?
06:58 Very good. Okay.
07:04 I'm going to be doing these same motions around your head
07:16 and I want you to report back to me the same kind of sensation differences
07:22 or if you can't feel it at all. Okay?
07:25 Great. Ready?
07:27 I'm going to close your eyes.
07:30 Did you feel that?
07:37 Great. Then I will go ahead and continue.
07:42 [scratching]
07:44 Any differences in sensation on that side?
08:04 Okay.
08:07 Then keep your eyes closed and we'll go to the other.
08:36 Okay.
08:37 Any differences in sensation? Okay.
08:41 The next part of this test
08:45 is going to require you to close your eyes.
08:51 I want you to remember the physical feeling of both of the items
08:57 as well as the sound that they were making.
09:00 So, I'm going to be tapping on and handling one of the objects in your ears
09:06 and I would like you to tell me whether it was object 1 or object 2.
09:11 Okay?
09:12 Go ahead and close your eyes.
09:14 [tapping]
09:18 What object was that?
09:26 Good.
09:28 Okay. Keep your eyes closed.
09:31 And what object was that?
09:43 Good.
09:45 We're going to do that two more times.
09:50 Keep your eyes closed.
09:52 [tapping]
09:54 Which object was that?
10:05 Okay.
10:06 And once more.
10:09 [tapping]
10:11 What object was that?
10:21 Good.
10:22 So, the final part of this test
10:30 is a [whistling]
10:33 movement down one of the sides of your head
10:36 and if you can let me know which tool I'm using,
10:40 that would be fantastic.
10:42 Okay. Keep your eyes closed.
10:44 [tapping]
10:46 Do you have a guess?
10:53 Very good.
10:55 How about that one?
11:01 Nice.
11:03 And now I'm going to do both at one time.
11:08 I want you to tell me which tool is on which side of your head.
11:13 [tapping]
11:15 What tool was on that side of your head?
11:21 And this side?
11:23 Very good.
11:26 Great.
11:28 Okay.
11:30 That concludes test number one.
11:33 Well done.
11:38 Once again, if you need a break or anything, let me know.
11:41 Otherwise, we can move on to test number two.
11:46 And for you, that would be...
11:51 the squares and spoons test.
11:58 Very good.
11:59 Okay.
12:00 For this one, there will be a few parts to that as well.
12:11 And we are going to do the taste identification.
12:16 That...
12:18 That should be part of the test, if that's okay with you.
12:26 Perfect.
12:29 So I'm going to go ahead and get my squares out.
12:36 I have one, two, three, four, five, six.
12:40 [scratching]
12:42 And as I hold these up to you, I'm going to ask you a few questions about them.
12:48 Here is square number one.
12:51 Could you tell me the color of this square?
12:56 And when you hear me scratch square number one,
13:08 what texture do you think this is?
13:11 Okay.
13:14 Next is square number two.
13:22 What color is this square?
13:33 And when I tap and scratch on this square, what texture do you think it is?
13:41 Good.
13:45 Number three.
14:01 What color is this square?
14:04 And as I tap and scratch on it, what texture do you think it is?
14:12 Good.
14:17 Square number four.
14:29 What color is it?
14:33 And what kind of texture would you say that this square has?
14:43 Okay.
14:46 Square number five.
14:56 [scratching]
14:58 What color is square number five?
15:04 And as I tap and scratch it, what texture would you say that it has?
15:12 Good.
15:18 Finally, we do have one more. Square number six.
15:24 [scratching]
15:26 And what color would you say square number six is?
15:34 Okay.
15:36 And if you could tell me what texture you think square number six has,
15:44 what would you say?
15:47 Okay.
15:51 Now of those six squares, did any of the squares have the same texture as another square?
15:58 And what squares were those?
16:03 Mm-hmm.
16:06 Okay.
16:09 Okay.
16:11 Great.
16:18 Next I want you to give each square a taste.
16:22 They are edible.
16:24 And what I'm going to do is...
16:29 get a little bit for you on a spoon.
16:35 And have you taste.
16:40 Okay, great.
16:44 Does that taste remind you of anything?
16:48 Okay.
16:49 Keep that in mind.
16:52 We're just going to go in order, so next we'll be doing square number two.
16:59 Get a little bit on a spoon for you.
17:05 And give it a taste.
17:16 Is that reminiscent of anything?
17:20 Number three.
17:30 Give this one a little taste.
17:44 Okay.
17:45 Does that flavor anything you're familiar with?
17:51 Okay.
17:53 Number four.
18:00 This one here.
18:03 Just a little...
18:05 little bit on the spoon here.
18:12 Give this a taste.
18:14 Do you know that flavor?
18:19 Number five.
18:26 A little bit.
18:32 Taste here.
18:40 Yes, the taste of that? Okay, great.
18:44 Last one.
18:49 Give that a taste.
19:03 Okay.
19:08 Alright.
19:09 Did you have a favorite flavor?
19:35 And did you have a least favorite flavor?
19:38 Alright.
19:44 Okay.
19:54 I'm going to have you close your eyes.
19:59 I'm going to give you a few flavors.
20:03 I want you to tell me which one is green.
20:07 You're looking for the green flavor.
20:10 Close your eyes.
20:18 And taste.
20:26 Good.
20:30 Next one.
20:32 And taste.
20:41 Okay.
20:44 Third flavor.
20:49 And taste.
20:57 Okay. You can open your eyes.
21:01 Do you know of those three flavors you just tasted, which one was green?
21:07 It was the last one? Okay, great.
21:12 Okay.
21:15 And then next, I'm going to have you try three flavors again.
21:21 But I'm not going to ask you... I'm not going to tell you which color.
21:25 I'm going to ask about... I just want you to taste all three, and then I'll ask you about one of them.
21:32 Okay.
21:34 So, let's start with flavor number one.
21:39 And taste.
21:46 Okay.
21:47 Flavor two. Taste.
22:00 And flavor three. Taste.
22:14 Okay.
22:16 You can open your eyes.
22:19 What was the second flavor I gave you?
22:24 Did you recognize it?
22:26 Okay.
22:28 Did you taste the red flavor in that group?
22:38 And did you taste the green flavor in that group?
22:43 Wonderful.
22:48 Thank you so much.
22:51 That concludes test number two.
22:54 Okay.
22:56 Alright. So, I have a few more tests for you.
23:03 Two of them are shorter visual tests, and we can start with those.
23:08 Or we can do the jar test first.
23:12 We can do the jars. Sure. Okay.
23:17 I'm going to go ahead and pull the table in.
23:23 Alright.
23:25 So this is the jar test.
23:29 Now I am a little bit farther away from you, so if you need me to speak up, just let me know at any time.
23:35 I have four jars here, and each jar has something different inside.
23:43 I'm going to show you each one, and you'll actually be able to get a little bit of a closer look.
23:50 First we have this jar here.
23:58 Now this is full of googly eyes.
24:25 Next we have our second jar.
24:30 And this is full of lentils.
24:53 Jar number three.
24:56 Has a fluffy, scrunchie inside.
25:16 And finally, jar number four is filled with plastic or rubber macarons.
25:39 I'm going to let you get a little bit of a closer look at each jar, but I don't want you to pick any of the jars up. Okay?
25:49 We can move the jars sideways.
25:57 And you can let me know which jar you might want to see more close up.
26:04 This one here.
26:08 And this one here.
26:14 And this one here.
26:22 This one here.
26:25 If you'd like to take the lid off, you can. Otherwise, just take a look.
26:38 Okay.
26:44 Any other jar?
26:50 This one again? Okay.
26:53 We'll take the lid off of that one. Okay.
27:03 Okay, now take a look.
27:09 Okay.
27:17 Are you ready for me to ask you to do a small task?
27:26 Great. I would like you to let me know which of these jars is the least full and the most full, and put the other two in order.
27:43 So we want to go from least full, to the next, to the next, and finally the most full jar.
27:54 Okay.
27:57 Okay.
28:04 The least full would be on this side.
28:08 Okay.
28:11 This one next.
28:14 Are you happy with this order?
28:27 Okay, great.
28:35 Now, the next test is putting these jars in order from which one you think weighs the least to which one you think weighs the most.
28:52 All of the jars have the exact same weight, it would just depend on the contents inside.
29:02 I'll let you take a look.
29:06 And which one do you think weighs the least?
29:16 Okay.
29:19 And then which one do you think would be the second in that line?
29:25 Okay.
29:29 And then number three?
29:32 Meaning the one that you think is the heaviest jar, is that one? Okay.
29:40 Wonderful.
29:42 Right.
29:52 Now, when I put them in this order,
29:58 how would you give them a category?
30:02 From most to least?
30:06 Okay.
30:10 Great. Perfect.
30:13 That is everything I wanted to ask you about these jars. Well done.
30:19 Alright.
30:23 Absolutely, I can let you know.
30:26 So, the jars all had different weights, none of them were the same.
30:33 The jar with the scrunchie in it was the lightest at 9 grams.
30:42 The next lightest was the googly eyes at 14 grams.
30:53 Then the next lightest were the toy macarons at 26 grams.
31:02 And finally, our heaviest jar was the lentils at 89 grams.
31:12 Okay.
31:15 We get various answers and guesses.
31:21 Okay.
31:22 So the last two tests are some short visual tests.
31:27 Very brief, but possibly my favorite to test.
31:33 So this first test is going to deal with colored lights.
31:39 I am going to show you this light here.
31:43 This part here is going to change color.
31:50 And all I need you to do is let me know when it changes color and what color it changed to.
31:58 That's it.
31:59 Okay, great.
32:01 So, go ahead and look at the light.
32:07 And what color is it to begin with for you? What color is that?
32:12 Okay.
32:13 And then just let me know when the color changes.
32:19 Good.
32:20 And what color did it change to?
32:27 Okay.
32:29 Great.
32:35 And the color?
32:37 Okay.
32:40 I'm going to start moving it slowly up and down. Ready?
32:44 Okay.
32:47 You can follow it, you don't have to look at it. Just let me know when it changes.
32:52 Right there?
33:00 Turn to do which color?
33:03 Okay.
33:05 Changed again?
33:17 What color?
33:18 Perfect.
33:20 Changed?
33:34 What color is that?
33:36 Okay.
33:38 Good.
33:40 And if I hold it back here?
33:43 Okay.
33:44 Good.
33:49 Good.
33:55 Good. Okay.
34:04 Wonderful.
34:07 Okay.
34:08 All set there.
34:17 Wonderful job.
34:19 Last one.
34:21 I do want you to visually follow these.
34:28 I'm going to show you two strips.
34:31 They have a little bit of texture on both of them, and they're different colors.
34:37 This is strip number one, and this is strip number two.
34:49 I'm going to start moving each strip slowly around your peripherals and your vision.
35:00 I want you to start following one of the strips whenever you feel like it.
35:07 And once you've picked the strip that you would like to follow,
35:22 I'd ask that you visually track that and do not switch to looking at the other strip.
35:30 Try not to move your head, but just move your eyes,
35:37 following whichever one you chose.
35:42 Good.
35:49 Keep following.
35:51 Good.
35:52 Keep following.
35:54 Just with your eyes.
36:01 Don't look at the other one.
36:04 Wonderful.
36:10 Okay.
36:12 You can stop tracking.
36:15 We're going to do the exact same thing with two different strips,
36:21 ones you haven't seen before.
36:23 Here they are.
36:25 This is strip number one,
36:29 and this is strip number two.
36:40 Now, I want you to follow strip number two this time.
36:47 Go ahead and look at strip number two.
36:52 I'm going to start moving them.
36:55 Visually track strip number two with your eyes.
36:59 Don't move your head if you can help it.
37:03 Good.
37:06 Good.
37:09 Keep following it.
37:11 Great.
37:14 Great.
37:16 Good job.
37:17 Okay.
37:25 Very good.
37:30 Now I want you to follow strip number one.
37:35 Look at strip number one.
37:37 Don't look at two anymore.
37:39 Just follow strip number one.
37:44 Good.
37:58 Great.
38:06 Okay.
38:07 Very last thing.
38:10 I'm going to show you the first two strips that you saw again.
38:14 Ready?
38:15 I want you to visually track the one you did not pick the first time.
38:22 Ready?
38:23 Let's go.
38:24 Good. Just follow with your eyes.
38:33 Great.
38:34 Great.
38:40 Just with your eyes.
38:50 Keep looking.
38:53 Following.
38:55 Following.
38:56 And done.
39:04 That was great. Thank you so much.
39:07 Okay.
39:09 Those are all of my tests for you today.
39:13 You were a wonderful test subject.
39:15 I can't thank you enough for your cooperation and your contributions.
39:22 Absolutely, we will contact you again if we have any more studies.
39:27 Thank you so much for coming in.
39:30 Have a wonderful day.
39:32 Thank you so much for relaxing with me.
