00:06 What's up?
00:09 Well, it's been a huge privilege to serve as foreign secretary.
00:12 And in that time, I've worked very closely
00:14 with my colleagues in the Home Office,
00:17 cracking down on illegal migration,
00:19 reducing the number of small boat arrivals.
00:22 And now, as the Home Secretary, I'm
00:25 absolutely committed to stopping the boats, as we promised,
00:28 but also making sure that everybody in the UK
00:32 feels safe and secure going around,
00:35 going about their daily business,
00:38 knowing that the government is here to protect them.
00:42 So it's a fantastic job, and it's a real privilege to serve.
00:44 I intend to do this job in the way that I feel best,
00:49 protects the British people and our interests.
00:53 I have had a very good conversation
00:56 with the prime minister, who's made it very clear
00:58 that he wants us to deliver on our promises,
01:02 to stop the boats, to protect the British people,
01:04 make sure everybody feels secure in their lives.
01:08 Thank you.
01:08 Thank you.
01:09 Thank you.
