00:04 >> Not all at once.
00:05 [BLANK_AUDIO]
00:12 >> Yeah, look, I mean, I think he's a really, really good player.
00:17 Size, length, athleticism, plays physical, good against a run,
00:22 good against a pass.
00:24 He's certainly a force that you have to reckon with.
00:29 And we're well aware of where he's at on every play.
00:34 >> It is a lot of tough stadiums in the, I'm just thinking,
00:37 how tough would you say that place is?
00:39 >> Yeah, I think it's a tough environment.
00:42 It's another dome stadium, the noise really has nowhere to go but in.
00:47 I think it's an extremely loud environment.
00:51 And I think in general, I think they've performed well at home.
00:58 So obviously a tough environment, tough situation.
01:02 We'll have to be on point to go in there and get a win.
01:05 >> Dennis, I think the Vikings said earlier today they expect Jefferson to be
01:09 questionable for this game.
01:11 Is that something you guys have just kind of been preparing for the chance?
01:13 >> Yeah, look, we talked about it throughout the week.
01:15 And so we'll be prepared one way or
01:22 the other of where he's at.
01:24 And if he's up, obviously we have to be able to deal with him.
01:30 >> How much does a player like that kind of impact what an offense can do?
01:34 Obviously it's one of the- >> Yeah, look, I mean,
01:36 he's if not the best, one of the best receivers in our league.
01:39 And so he certainly impacts the game in a lot of different areas.
01:43 So if he's up, that's certainly a boost to them.
01:52 And it's just another weapon that we have to deal with.
01:55 >> Yeah, but just like a half a season to evaluate,
01:57 just what if Joe Woods and Marcus Robertson added to that?
02:01 >> Look, I mean, I think our secondaries played really well this year.
02:04 I think both those guys are detail oriented.
02:09 They coach them hard.
02:11 And they hold them accountable to doing what they're supposed to do.
02:17 And I think all really good players, that's really what they want.
02:25 They want structure, they want discipline, they wanna be coached.
02:30 And they want to be held accountable.
02:33 So I think those guys have done an outstanding job in the second half.
02:37 >> In the midseason, but what have you just made of your record class so
02:39 far this year?
02:41 >> Yeah, well, I mean, some ups and downs,
02:47 like you would expect out of rookie players.
02:52 Obviously, Kendray gotta been up,
02:56 injured, playing, not playing.
03:01 Foskey's injured right now.
03:03 So those are two players that haven't had a lot of opportunities,
03:08 some other due to injury.
03:09 But look, I like the rookie class.
03:13 I think those guys are gonna continue to develop, continue to get better.
03:17 So, but we're nine games into a 17 game season,
03:23 so we still got a ways to go.
03:28 >> The guys who haven't received maybe as much point time,
03:30 does that kind of reflect maybe how you guys are at other positions or just?
03:35 >> Yeah, I would say so.
03:37 I would say so.
03:38 I mean, I think there's certain positions that we've got more depth at.
03:44 Whether it be secondary position, I think we're pretty deep there,
03:50 particularly at the safety position.
03:52 Receiver, I think we're pretty deep at the receiver position.
03:59 So I think all those things play into account.
04:02 >> You guys talked about Josh Dodds, how does he differ from some of the other
04:07 guys that you've faced?
04:08 >> He's got a lot more experience than some of the guys that we've faced.
04:14 So I think that'd be number one.
04:17 Look, I think he's a talented player.
04:20 I know he's really smart.
04:21 I think he's a really good athlete back there.
04:24 And yet he's able to operate the offense from both in the pocket and
04:31 outside the pocket.
04:32 So he presents a lot of challenges for us.
04:35 >> I think that aerospace engineering has something to do with him being so smart.
04:39 >> Listen, I don't even know what aerospace engineering is.
04:41 So, but yeah, look, I mean, to be able to go into a situation where,
04:48 I mean, you're just beating the rest of the team,
04:53 don't even know who anybody is, and go in on the road in a tough environment and
05:00 go win a game.
05:02 That speaks to his intelligence level and being able to operate the offense.
05:07 >> There's no rocket engineering classes in your PE degree?
05:10 >> No.
05:11 >> No.
05:11 It's been a while since we asked you about him.
05:17 Is Peyton Turner progressing okay in his- >> Yeah, yeah,
05:20 he's doing well in his rehab.
05:21 Obviously, we knew this was gonna be an injury that was gonna take some time.
05:27 But yeah, he's progressing well.
05:31 >> Maybe I'll track toward- >> Yeah, look, I think we'll see.
05:35 I mean, it's hard for me to say right now.
05:38 But I do think he's progressing well in the rehab.
05:42 >> When you're looking at shadowing versus playing sides with the Depot and
05:46 March on, what are some of the advantages to playing sides as opposed to the other?
05:52 >> Well, I think probably the biggest thing is guys aren't running all over
05:56 the place trying to find a matchup.
05:58 I think that's one of the challenges that you get when you're playing a matchup game.
06:03 There's a lot of extra running that's involved in that,
06:08 trying to find guys, especially when teams are going fast.
06:11 So I think that's one of the advantages of being able to play right and left.
06:18 >> So one of the things, think about a quarterback joining a new team,
06:24 getting to know the new guys, it's like maybe it would take a while.
06:27 How do you think that relationship is built out over nine games with Derrick and
06:31 the rest of this offense?
06:33 >> Well, look, I think I've seen improvement out of our offense as we've
06:36 gone along throughout the season.
06:37 And so I don't think we've reached what our potential is yet.
06:46 And we're working every day to try to get there.
06:50 And I think all of our guys have done a good job of continuing to work and
06:54 just pay attention to the process.
06:57 >> You talked about Justin Jefferson,
07:01 I read you talked about Drew Nass and Jim, those skilled position players.
07:06 >> Look, I think they've got really good skilled position players.
07:08 I think their receivers are fast.
07:14 I think they do a good job at transitioning, getting in and out of breaks.
07:18 They've got kind of some different types of receivers.
07:23 Justin Jefferson's obviously a little bit of a bigger, longer receiver.
07:29 They've got some a little bit smaller, shiftier receivers.
07:32 Hawkinson, I think, is an exceptional tight end.
07:37 I think he's really good in the passing game.
07:40 I think he's an extremely tough matchup.
07:42 So yeah, I think they've got some good skilled position players to get the ball
07:47 to.
07:47 All right, thanks.
