00:02 Your Highness, Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud,
00:23 your majesties, excellencies, [ARABIC]
00:26 There are moments in history that
00:32 shake us to our core and challenge
00:36 our collective conscience, moments that
00:39 compel us to ask if our humanity still flickers,
00:46 if we have the courage and wisdom to act.
00:50 Such a moment has come with an ongoing Israeli onslaught
00:55 on Palestine.
00:58 Such a moment is now.
01:00 I therefore applaud the initiative
01:01 of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to convene
01:04 this extraordinary Arab Islamic summit
01:08 and the condemnation of the colonization
01:12 and atrocities of Israel in Gaza and the West Bank.
01:18 For over a month, the besieged people of Gaza
01:24 have been subjected to the barbaric cruelties and genocide
01:28 by Israeli forces, indiscriminately targeting
01:32 men, women, and children alike.
01:36 Neither homes, hospitals, nor religious sanctuaries,
01:40 Muslims, or Christians are safe from Israel's
01:44 indiscriminate attack.
01:47 This continuation of the politics
01:49 of dispossession of the Palestinians
01:52 is not taking place in the dead of the night.
01:56 It is perpetrated in full view of the world
01:59 in a flagrant breach of international law.
02:04 The political class of Western nations
02:08 exhibit a selective myopia towards the turmoil
02:13 in Palestine.
02:14 Yet we salute the collective conscience
02:19 and the awakening of the people.
02:22 A sea of change in awareness has taken root,
02:27 as shown in mass demonstrations in unprecedented proportion
02:32 throughout the world, including the Western world,
02:35 in support of Palestine.
02:38 Ironically, in these capitals that
02:40 herald free speech and human rights as a sacrosanct right,
02:46 some authorities have denounced proponents
02:50 of the Palestinian cause, maligning them
02:53 as purveyors of hate speech and supporters of terrorism.
02:57 This is perverse double standards writ large.
03:02 In this pivotal moment, our collective voice, Arabs,
03:06 Muslims, and those who aspire to defend freedom of all people,
03:15 irrespective of race or creed, we stand to get stronger
03:20 and we champion a shared purpose.
03:23 Believe me, the ummah and international community
03:27 expects from this conference tangible results
03:33 and concrete actions.
03:35 Excellencies, with due humility, I call upon each of us
03:44 to strategically employ our diplomatic channels
03:48 and networks.
03:50 In every dialogue and on every stage,
03:54 be it bilateral or multilateral, regional or international,
04:00 let us consistently and assertively
04:04 call for the following in a concerted diplomatic campaign.
04:09 Institute an immediate ceasefire.
04:13 Increase and expedite humanitarian assistance
04:17 to the people of Gaza.
04:19 Halt all Israeli settlement activity and settler violence
04:24 against Palestinians in the West Bank.
04:27 Immediately cease the forced displacement of civilians.
04:32 Investigate and prosecute all breaches of international law,
04:37 including war crimes through international judicial
04:41 institutions.
04:42 Support the Arab Peace Initiative
04:46 and facilitate negotiations with reputable mediators
04:50 to advance the two-state solution
04:54 with the recognition of an independent state of Palestine
04:58 based on the pre-1967 borders with East Jerusalem
05:03 as its capital, and combat the global rise of Islamophobia
05:08 while safeguarding the right to peaceful expression of support
05:14 for the Palestinian cause.
05:16 It is imperative that we unite our voices in chorus
05:20 so that our message stands a much greater chance of resonating
05:26 and being heard.
05:28 In closing, allow me to reaffirm Malaysia's ironclad commitment
05:34 to the precedent cause.
05:36 Thank you.
