00:00 We really struggle and we spent a lot of time on that these last two days.
00:05 So hopefully, we have to be able to play.
00:08 You wanna be able to play with your best players on the floor and
00:12 with the guys that we have healthy right now, we need to play with a center.
00:16 PJ obviously is good, he's a good downsized center.
00:22 But what happens is it's just hard for
00:24 us to have enough scoring on the floor when he's there.
00:27 So it's not just a matchup part right now with these injuries.
00:32 It's just, if you look at the lineups that we ended up having to put out there
00:36 because we did that, you could argue worse.
00:42 So we have to be able to play regardless of who we're playing and
00:46 what they wanna do with our centers out there.
00:49 [BLANK_AUDIO]
00:59 Yeah, I've seen, again, I've told these guys, being a big soccer fan,
01:03 I know like Manchester United, we lost two weeks ago in the Carabo Cup at home 3-0.
01:08 And it is a big deal, being a fan, I mean, I enjoy the soccer.
01:14 Last year they won it, and it was a big deal.
01:19 I watched the game, I was at Wembley.
01:20 And I can see that it will take some time for
01:25 fans to learn to enjoy it.
01:30 But I do think that a single elimination tournament after you get out of pool play
01:36 with NBA players could be a lot of fun, and hopefully we can get there.
01:41 [INAUDIBLE]
01:46 >> Yeah, I think it will.
01:48 I mean, obviously, again, it's not part of, for our fan base or everybody,
01:54 it's not part of what we're used to.
01:56 Where if you, again, you watch European soccer, it's a big part of what they do.
02:02 So a lot of reasons these guys are here is they're the best competitors.
02:10 And it's another opportunity for them to compete.
02:12 And I do think that the single elimination thing really could be
02:16 exciting dynamic as people get more used to it.
02:21 [BLANK_AUDIO]
02:31 I mean, yeah, look, there's a lot of components to that.
02:36 But I mean, at the end of the day, it's hard because guys play,
02:43 those two guys are traditional centers.
02:47 And you're asking them to do some things on the defensive end of the floor that
02:53 they haven't grown up doing.
02:55 And so the quicker that we can get them comfortable doing it,
03:00 the better off we're gonna be.
03:01 Because it's not just tonight.
03:05 This is Boston, where they do it with a traditional center.
03:10 There are other teams are gonna do it at different times.
03:13 But we have spent more time this year working on just normal rotations,
03:18 which five men put in the five minute different places on the floor.
03:21 It's hard if you watch them.
03:23 As the ball moves, they naturally go to protect the rim.
03:27 And it's an instinct that I would think, or I see is not easy for them, but
03:33 we have to be able to do it.
03:34 But particularly the picking roles, that's what hurt us last night.
03:39 And again, in fairness, I was looking at this this morning because
03:44 you have to figure things out, but you also have to know why the reason.
03:49 I believe Mark Williams still hasn't played 50 NBA games yet.
03:53 Nick Richards never played a lot until last year.
03:56 Not talking about guys that are 27 years old that have had to do this for
04:01 three, four years.
04:02 So that's part of it also.
04:06 [BLANK_AUDIO]
04:16 Yeah, I mean, they could do different things.
04:19 The one thing they didn't have to play the zone,
04:21 they had started to play zone more.
04:23 The game before we have to be ready for that.
04:25 We haven't played against zone much so far.
04:27 I think one possession so far in seven games.
04:31 And so when you do that, in our league, it's funny, right?
04:34 As great as the players are, the zone always scares me.
04:37 Until you've done it three or four times just cuz it's new and it's different.
04:41 They could do that.
04:42 They have a lot of offense and they didn't run the other night.
04:46 So that's more, to me when you get to play a team,
04:51 back to back is more like a playoff.
04:54 So what worked for them and
04:55 what did they not use that you can see being effective?
04:59 So we had a day to do that.
05:02 And again, I felt like guys were good yesterday and
05:05 this morning they were really good.
05:07 So hopefully we'll play better.
05:08 [BLANK_AUDIO]
05:13 Good.
05:14 [BLANK_AUDIO]
05:17 We're gonna do this again?
05:18 >> Yeah. >> Okay.
05:19 >> We're gonna try again.
